PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Its best to make sure the broker is still up and running first.

Oops sorry hun, that was me with HFC, please let me check HFS out first, don't want you to be sending the letters to the wrong address lol....:o

I took the loan out in 1996, some 13 years ago and have just got £1891.14 having been missold PPI

The loan was for £6000 pounds and the PPI was added to the loan, so I also ended up paying interest on that as well. They had said No PPiI No loan and grudingly I accepted it.

In 2008, I found out they could not do that so wrote to the bank (Nat west). They replied saying I did not have PPI but to send them the paperwork if I still had it. I think they did not expect me to have it still but 2 hrs later, from my loft I produced it and sent them a copy.

They eventually replied and said that they have reviewed my case and were confident they had taken the same stance which the FSO would take and they rejected my claim.

They basically said " well you signed the forms and it says you can cancel it "

" So it is ok for your staff to !!!!!!!! me just to get me to sign the forms is it? " thinks I.

I wrote to the FSO and have just received £1891.14 which is all the money I had paid out plus interest.:j

Well I have posted before elsewhere about the fact that I sent Egg a template form this site re their PPI on a loan and they came back in my favour. Only thing is they have put it on my loan. I wrote to them asking for a cheque as I was uptodate on repayments and they have refused stating its thier policy. Have called the Financial OMbudsman and have lodged a complaint. Has anybody been paid out by cheque by Egg before??? Really miffed as also have one of their credit cards which they have bumped up from 15.9 to 26.9% APR and I wanted to that and another card off.
