From what you say, there really was no need to contact the CEO of the Bank. The chief exec route should only be used in extreme circumstances after all other avenues have been exhausted. Your complaint was dealt with well within the eight week time-frame and contact with the CEO will have been a waste of both your time and theirs.
Everyone else should just follow the agreed complaints procedure.
Thank you for your reply.
I didn't know where to go, I'd read up on someone elses experience and used the email address provided. I'm glad I did. Not only did HQ provide me with all account numbers i'd ever had for my loans, credit cards and mortgage, they chased the claim through for me when I thought time was getting on. Overall a very swift and helpful service.
To summarise, ultimately I couldn't care less about their time wasted and it certainly didn't waste any of my time. :T0 -
Just received a cheque through the post for £8355.49. Needless to say, I am overjoyed.0

Complainants should only write direct to the CEO in extreme circumstances where the Bank have failed.0 -
Just over two years ago, I used this site and downloaded the PPI claim letter. I waited and waited and waited for Santander to contact me. Two years later nothing. So decided to write to them again and sent them a copy of the original letter. Few weeks later they sent a letter of apology, saying that they had sent me the offer letter two years back. If they did I never received it. They sent a copy of it and offered me more than I expected. They had added in another two years of lost interest for the delay. Whether this was law or not I don't know. But made a nice gesture if it wasn't. I also received another lot back from CPP. So I am now one happy bunny. Thankyou Martin and Team0

Well done Santander, not that bad after all .We have just switch our bank account to Santander the service we received from our local branch was outstanding. So far so good. Glad to hear you had a good outcome. I am also waiting to hear from CPP you never know. I wasn't going to bother until I called them and they told me who had sold me this. Then I really changed my mind 'Capital One' mmmmmmm that did it I decided to claim lets wait and see.;)0

Just received an offer for £2045 from HSBC following going all the way to the Ombudsman. This is on top of the £11,000 odd we have already claim but the difference is we will actually get to see this money now we are debt free. Words cannot describe how happy I feel after years of debt actually having money to spend on myself :jJULES

Hi all my husband had a goldfish card which was taken over by barclaycard who claimed he did not have a card with them... he then provided all the details to them which had taken a year ..barclaycard rejected his claim even though they didn't have the information from goldfish ...
he asked BC for a SAR they sent him details of the account he still had which was current...
He went to FOS nearly 3 years ago they have said BC have finally given them information but it may take another 2years to look at his claim as they are so busy!! Has anyone else had such a long drawn out experience,, thanks to all0 -
Hi yes it took the OBM two and a half to vote in our favour, after Barclay rejected our first claim with a resounding NO. Patience is a virtue. Annoying I know but the OBM are extremely busy. Hang on in there and good luck.0

Goldfish being a migrated account is usually dealt with Barclays , I initially had the run around with Barclays but eventually sent to the FOS .
After eighteen months it was ruled in my favour but it took another six months for them to pay me after another run around ( I wont go into detail ) in May I was paid with an added 2.4k as interest bumping up to 5.6k .
Stay with it is all I can say unless you can escalate to an e mail to CEO sorry I can not give you the link it has been deleted on MSE.Light travels faster than sound.
This is why some people seem as bright until you hear them.0
