they can se my ppi premium was £160
I assume that would be what you paid monthly in PPI rather than any offer of redress. You've given no indication of how much you borrowed or whether this was for a loan or credit card, so there is no real way to tell.

The best advice is to allow the Bank their eight weeks to consider your complaint. You know for sure they have received it, so there really is no point in ringing them now until the eight weeks are up.

    My loan was for 2.5k

Taken sept 2007 paid back early dec 08

But apparently I paid ppi until july 09

Now today when I called they told me my ppi premium was £160

Hence why I asked what do they mean?

Why didn't you ask them? Unlikely to be the entire PPI you paid.
Regardless, wait for your "full and final" response from the Bank-it's only a few weeks...

Because the person I spoke to wss very difficult to understand and all she could say is that your ppi premium is £160 as its under reviee this isnt the full outcome.

I am unsure if this means my premium was £160 Per month or was £160 lump sum ppi payment I would have made on the loan

You'll know how much (if anything) you're receiving in a few weeks.
Have patience, no one here knows what you paid or how much you may eventually be refunded..

If he loan is still running, they take the whole PPI amount off the loan balance, (this is the restructure ) this reduces the balance of the loan and your monthly payment goes down by the monthly PPI amount, make sure it does.

If the loan is settled, all the redress comes to you.

    :j:j well done.

That seems to tie in with what Ocean (Broker) said.

They will send a cheque to Paragon (Loan provider) for 4.5k which will knocked off the loan and reduce the monthly payment by £60 a month.

I would of liked the whole amount back but I can see where what they are doing now.
  • Hi all..just a quick question, wrote to several credit card companies to ask for credit agreements copy, have today been sent a questionnaire from one of them, as to why we think we was sold ppi, so does this mean that we have paid it?..as they have not sent agreement to us.
  • PPI complaint upheld today - £1,600. I didn't even have to pay the cost of a stamp as the bank wrote to me initially.

Interestingly, although I didn't have PPI on a 3rd loan, because this loan was larger than it otherwise should have been (ie, to consolidate the previous loans which did have PPI), I received compensation for this too.
    DF
  • I posted off my completed form which I downloaded from the Barclays website on 10 Feb.
I stated that I did not recall requesting the over draft protection which appeared as 'service charge' on my account when the account was for some reason upgraded to an additions account. £11.50 per month.
Received a letter today upholding my claim and refunding £5296 :j:j
My reason for not needing this protection was that I Was only working 9 hours per week and my husband was paid 6 months sick pay and the company had an excellent redundancy policy.

Thank you Barclays for being so quick and efficient :-)

    Cheers
