If you have documentary proof that you paid more then you can contest. Do remember that you are only refunded what you actually paid (or the amount the Bank still hold records of).
If you have no proof that you paid more there is little you can do. Don't spend all the money at once!

Two Loans over 10 years ago
    Reclaim LOTS!!
    Used templates

So there I was, knowing I'd had PPI on two loans, over 10 years ago, and knowing that I'd claimed. Friends of mine got 18k back (after 6k deduction from the 3rd party co that they'd used) and now I wondered about mine. No I thought. Best not. I have a loan with them and lots of other stuff. They'll tell me that they don't want me as a customer.
Then they said no to a mortgage. Hell hath no fury as a gal denied so I went to your page, downloaded the template and asserted that i thought I'd not get my loans if I didn't buy the PPI (very true) and sent the form off.
Interesting to note at this point that I only gave them my account number.
Four weeks later (and on my birthday dontcha know) I got a letter offering me £16704.37!!!

    OMGEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love you Martins Money. To the moon and back!

I have just started a PPI claim with the bank of Scotland for a small personal loan i took out sept 2007. I ended up cleatring the loan down early in december 2008. After speaking to the girl on the phine she confimrmed i was paying PPI. from sept 2007 until July 09. I cleared the loan in december 08 but they were still taking mioney for another 6 months - the swines!

You will get back the whole PPI amount (not the loan amount), the interest on the PPI and the 8%, they will take the rebate back that they gave you on early settlement.
