What were you reclaiming:loan
Who was the provider: Lloyds
How much did you get back: £3400.00 ish
Fillled out form from this site the standard one on all banks sites
I filled out the form after months of ooing and ahing was it worth it etc why not just ring up a handler. In the end I wrote to my bank asking for all my data held and enclose the payment to cover it. They sent me a big bag of paperwork probably 500 pages. I found the info re the loans on there.
It was over 10 years ago I took out a loan to pay off a credit card this had PPI added to the loan so that was the first claim. Then my other claim was the second loan taken out to cover the what was left of the first loan and other stuff what I cant remember. So there was PPI from the first loan then this was put onto a second loan and PPI added to the second one too if that makes sense 'front loading'?. I had no paperwork from the original loan time only what they sent.
I had a phone call 6 weeks later asking basic questions the 2 weeks later a letter saying what I would get. That day I logged onto my bank and it was in there already happy days.
Santander are now what was Cahoot credit card I had just my credit card number and my name address at the time dob wrote a letter from a template on here saying I am claiming PPI back and got cheque for £125.00 not masses but was pleased.
We tried claiming for my husband but Natwest cant find his credit card details although he still has it and has been with the for 20+ years. Am planning to delve into that more
Forgot to say thank you to this website and all who post and help couldnt of done it without you :-)0 -

Massive thanks to MSE for keeping on banging the drum in the weekly email about claiming PPI. Wasn't even sure I'd ever had it to be honest but figured I had nothing to lose by making a call, especially with my wedding in a few months to pay for!
Called Natwest just before Christmas and they advised that I did have it for a while on a long run of loans I had (clearing each other off over time)
Got a letter from them yesterday saying they'd investigated, 1st page I saw said they were paying me £200 or so. As I flicked through the pages it became apparent that there were actually six payments they'd agreed to make to me, totalling nearly £2300, makes the wedding and honeymoon a bit easier!0 -
Hi i have 2 loans from RBS, both paid off.
I only have the paper work from one loan, states on it PPI was £644. The other loan was for £1k, over a year.
I called up RBS to make a claim for both loans. 2 Weeks later i got a letter just offering me £240 for the PPI. So annoyed that i have to complain more and wait longer. Am i right in believing that i should be getting back £644 at least?A smile and manners doesnt cost any thing0 -

Hi all
I received a letter from Lloyd's saying I may have been missold PPi in November
Filled in relevant forms , had a couple of phone calls asking me various things which I couldn't remember
I was in an abusive marriage at the time and my ex husband arranged the loans and I basically signed the paperwork
All loans done over the internet totalling over 17000
At the 8 week point today and no word ... What do you think will happen ? I can't remember anything about PPi and it was all done over the internet
Feel a bit stupid but it wasn't a great time of my life
Thanks in advance0 -
I have just received an offer of compensation for PPI applied to my mortgage account with the Royal Bank of Scotland. I used this site to make my complaint. Despite making just the one complaint, I have now had four letters relating to different policies applied to my account without my knowledge. Three claims were denied as the policy was apparently cancelled and premiums were repaid (I can't prove any of this as they all happened up to 12 years ago and I don't have statements relating to that period.). However, the last complaint was upheld and an offer made of £234, including 8% interest which I have accepted.
I have also been advised by the bank that yet another instance of PPI being applied to my account (this time with my knowledge) is still being investigated on the grounds that is was sold as mortgage loanguard protection rather than as PPI, so whilst not being mis-sold as such, I was mis-informed and I await the outcome of that complaint.
I did also check that I wasn't overcharged for the exit fee when we redeemed our mortgage, but they have confirmed that I was charged what I should have been.
Thanks to this site for everything.
