PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Two things, I followed the template and procedure and got a refund for over 1700...was so very pleased with that. Thanks to this site.
2nd thing, if a loan is sold as 'all inclusive' I think that was the term, does that mean ppi is included and i dont have a possible claim?0 -
Here i go again..
How do i find out if i had ppi on a past mortgage? The mortgage i have now, is just set at baserate, i think that's what its called. It isnt fixed or tied in to anything, would i have a ppi on that?
Thanks0 -
I recalled having PPI for what I thought was short period of time and cancelling it once I become aware.
The point of awareness came when I refinanced a loan to reduce the payment (was buying a house at the time – this was circa 5years ago).
Lloyds initially rejected my complaint saying no PPI was on my loans. I told them tolook at the original loans, which they did (I’d assumed they would have do thisautomatically). A couple of days a go I get a letter with at offer of £7,900:eek:.
The compensation includes payment for the original mis-selling of the PPI, but they have also compensated me for the increased cost of my refinanced loan (even though this had no PPI – I had been paying over the odds).
I’m happy, and also shocked. Just goes to show how much money they were making out of this scam.
I moved my day to day banking to First Direct a couple of years ago (‘love’ them). Once I’ve received the PPI payment . . . I think I’ll close the Lloyds a/c .

Tesco PPI success
Hi everyone
3 weeks ago we received a letter from Tesco advising us that an old loan had PPI on it & they stated they had identified a flaw in their systems between 2005-2007
We rang and said we had no Idea about the PPI
Today a letter arrived offering us £900.77p to settle the case
Very quick, very helpful and kept us up to date
Good luck everyone - from letter to offer = 3 weeks0 -

The loan had been for £10K + P.P.I. and was taken over 7 years with Blackhorse and I was so excited when I got the offer of £2580 I accepted the offer before they changed thier minds ! When looking into the paperwork further I now realise I should have received around £6,500. Is there anything I can do to make them re-open my claim.
How did you work it out? Is there a formula ?0 -
I have just submitted a claim for both of these and will confirm if successful.
Should give a good idea of timescales for anyone else looking to claim as I will update when/if successful.0 -

Hi Tupelo
HSBC were pretty quick dealing with my complaint {see earlier post this evening}
That could be because the paperwork was complete or I,m
one of their favourite customers........ on second thoughts.
Try giving them a call.I presume you sent paperwork to the Coventry address?
Good luck.0
