Fuming - having read in the letter that they were going to pay the refund into the account that pays the direct debit for the loan (which still had three years to run), this morning I see that the refund has been taken off the loan itself. The monthly repayments on this loan have been reduced from £494 a month to £365 a month and the outstanding balance is down from about £15800 to £4214. The loan had 36 months to run but paying £365 a month it will now only have a year to run. Which is all very well but we really did need the money in our current account :(
This morning the loan balance has gone up to £5588 but nothing has gone into our current account. I assume this means they put the interest into the loan account yesterday and have now taken it out again but have not yet paid it into our current account. I wish they would make their minds up!!

Wrote to Egg card services about 5 weeks ago with a standard letter and they asked for some more info in the shape of a ombudsman claims form. Sent it back two weeks ago and received a settlment of just over £750 last Friday evening!

With that and a successful MBNA claim thats £1600 in the bank for xmas. :j

That's fab news! Well done. I will do the same thing now I've read that. May I ask you which standard letter you sent to Egg please?

And also which address you sent it to?

Any more information you could give me would also be appreciated, such as what you put on the Ombudsman form?

    Thanks

I've been reading a lot on this forum about banks stalling on paying refunds for claims upheld and I think it's an absolute disgrace! This is money owed to comsumers and if it were owed by us to the banks it would be a different kettle of fish!! I have sent off a letter to Cap One after they informed me of a backlog in payments being processed. I've also read about acceptance forms being returned and banks claiming not to have received them even after their being signed for! The FO should step in and pull these offenders up!!! Many people after celebrating claims being upheld and expecting a nice little bonus for Christmas face another wait due to the 'backlog' and 'lost' post!
    Debt at Sept 2006 £63,500:eek:
    Debt at Sept 2012 £24,400
DFD Dec 2012! (if PPI claims come in) !!

  • What were you reclaiming: PPI from loan
Who was the provider: Tesco Finance
How much did you get back: £3,581
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Actually Tesco contacted me!!

Well this was a surprise. Tesco Finance sent me a letter asking if I'd been mis-sold PPI. I planned to reply but was going through a busy period at work so plain forgot.

Tesco then sent ANOTHER letter asking if I'd got the first letter! I filled in the questionairre, popped it in the post and waited for the long drawn battle... Lo and behold around 3 weeks later they confirm PPI repayment of both loans I had - £1,700 each. No hassle.

    Hello everyone help please;
I am bought a HYUNDAI Car at year 2000 or 1999 by Hire purchase, finished paid off in full at 2003, it this short word ( CONSLDTD FINCL INS ) show on bank statment and HYUNDAI CAR pay in ref no. because paid in by direct debit and also back to ten years ago, I lost every document apart the figure it show on my personal bank statment, I know it's a insuance company but I do not know the full name of this ( CONSLDTD FINCL INS ) company and their address, so anyone could please tell me or how can I find out please, because they did charge the PPI on by Hire Purchase. Thanks!

You go to the dealer that sold you the car, they did the loan and the PPI, due to the year and as you have no paperwork for this agreement I don't think you will get far with a complaint, you can give it a try and see what they come back with, use the Hyundi pay in reference number to see if they can find you on the system.

Hopefully they should have the loan reset and the redress paid into your account any day now, if you have online banking then keep checking.

O K, But I think less chance because the garage is change hand as well, so I don't they will help, because they paid through the bank, do you think the bank can help to find out the dealer detail.

Was this a local dealer that sold cars and not Hyundi ?
If it was then you need to try and trace the owner of the garage.

If not, call Hyundi customer service, they may be able to help you.

yes, it is a local dealer

and by the way, I send out the PPI claiming for my business loan by down load the form, it's over a week then I go through my old old record of banstatment and I find another 3 business loan from Lloydstsb back to 1988, do I still have a chance to claim, or will they go through my record from day one of my business start. because this was back to long time ago, I do not have the document, I only had the bank statment with the reference no. it show the loan been pay off in full, and all the loan is under one account. so what should I do, wait for their reply first or to send it another claiming form. please advise.

They should look at all of these, see what reply you get from the one that you have sent in, if you get an answer and they have just looked at the one loan then put the claims in for the others and make sure that you put all the reference numbers and enclose
copies of statements that you have.
Let me know how you get on.
