PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Your back problems are irrelevant really as the insurance would only refuse to pay out if this "condition" rendered you unable to work and a Doctor had already diagnosed this in the past.Opinions_needed wrote: »All I have stated in the questionnaire is that it was a hard sell face to face. I haven't advised of anything else i.e back problems, my saving.
As for your savings, if you do write back to the bank then you'll need to be able to prove that these were large enough to pay your debt for as long as the PPI would have paid out for.
This is just a "hearsay" complaint for which you can provide no proof.Opinions_needed wrote: »What they are failing to understand is the pressure I was put under to sign and the worry the advisor embedded in me.
If you want success you need better reasons than you've given here (and to the Bank).
Try your luck with FOS...0 -

Could you advise me on the reasons plz?0 -
The reasons have to be your own, I can't create them for you...Opinions_needed wrote: »Could you advise me on the reasons plz?

Not asking you to create them. Think you have misunderstood. Just wanted to know what else I could add to the information as you state hard selling based on lies is not a misell. Lies can be proven as the sale for ppi was never required by me as I would NEVER have claimed. Everything that was covered on ppi I could have arranged that payment via family and friends. What do u class as a missale???0 -
You asked for advice, I said go to FOS.Opinions_needed wrote: »Lies can be proven
I'm not about to debate this further, your dispute is with the Bank-not me.0 -

Ok thank you. Just to make it clear I'm not disputing this with you.0 -

So if someone was genuinely mis-sold, in person at a branch, but can't evidence it that means their complaint isn't valid? It strikes me that many people were mis-sold in this way, and frankly it's no surprise that there is little evidence to prove the injustice. Thousands of people were mis-sold, in person, and wilfully signed all the paperwork because they believed what they were told by the bank 'sales' person. How is it that according to some of the posts on here, many receive settlements with virtually no evidence, yet others who go into some detail have to jump through hoops. The lack of consistency is troubling to say the least......0 -
No, but in the event of the Bank finding no such evidence then it will rely on sales scripts from the time and likely reject the complaint. So if someone was genuinely mis-sold, in person at a branch, but can't evidence it that means their complaint isn't valid?
It's because the Banks don't actually detail why they uphold a given complaint. The Banks often find other faults not detailed in the original complaint or they may sometimes even decide to pay out without investigating at all (auto payout). As a result, many people who have written a complaint based on "hearsay" can be fooled into thinking their complaint has been upheld on that basis when it was something entirely different. How is it that according to some of the posts on here, many receive settlements with virtually no evidence, yet others who go into some detail have to jump through hoops. The lack of consistency is troubling to say the least......
The only way to be certain of (eventual) success is to have valid and verifiable complaint reasons.0 -

Thank you so much. I was thinking from the previous reply that I should give up. You have put the fight back in me to continue. Thank you0 -
