Hi, I have popped on today to see if there were any Lloyds success stories in the last few days.
Sadly, I have reached week 15 today and still not heard from Lloyds as yet. They have 7 days to sort out my claim now.:wave:Hi I'm new to the forum. :hello: Please be gentle. :j0 -
Posted claim late August and I estimated I had paid about £1300 in PPI based solely on latest PPI amount * 84 (7 years worth). Letter acknowledged on 28th, got a letter on 7th September saying my claim had been upheld and that I had actually paid £1288.56 in premiums but as a result of them 'reconstructing' my statements in line with FSA refund guidelines they are sending me a cheque for £3252.37 within the next 28 days.
5 more claims already submitted which using my crude estimate of PPI charges could be worth about £15k if they are all upheld. If they all apply the FSA refund guidelines I could be looking at something like doubling that based on MBNA refund and all for the cost of filing in a few forms, a few envelopes and some stamps. :j
UPDATE: Cheque received on 27th September (letter and cheque dated 21st), so just over a month from submitting the claim to pay cheque into bank.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

Posted claim late August and I estimated I had paid about £4000 in PPI based solely on latest PPI amount * 84 (7 years worth). Got a letter on 25h September saying my claim had been upheld and that I had actually paid £4421.38 in premiums but as a result of them 'reconstructing' my statements in line with FSA refund guidelines the total refund payable is £9991.40 and all I have to do to get this is to send off the acceptance form.

Don't even think about a claims co, you can put the claim into FSCS as money said.
Looking at your original post, was this loan around 07? if it was, contact FSCS and make the claim, this will get you compensation but the PPI will not be removed from the Mortgage I am afraid, but you can take some of the compensation off the debt if you choose, all it takes to make the claim is a call to FSCS and they send a form for you to fill in... job done.
A claims co will contact FSCS and you fill the form in but the claims co take upwards of 25% plus Vat for doing zilch, contact FSCS yourself.

Sorry Amersall for taking a couple of days to get back to you. I have been looking at paperwork/agreement this morning as was going to be tel fscs later today but nowhere on there does it state that money parters loan ltd was covered by the fsa, even though taken out in april 2007? In fact the loan agreement has unregulated agreement in top corner. Does this mean i cannot go to fscs. The more i look at the ageement the more of a fool i feel for tqking it out., with them adding the whole amount ontobthe mort as a single premium and then only covering us for 5yrs anyway on a 25yr mortgafe.if i cant go to fscs is there anywhere else i could go. Thankyou0 -

Your best bet is to ring FSCS to be sure.
Or wait for Amersall to confirm this:p0 -

Thanks to the advice on this forum, we have managed to reclaim £5,580 of PPI from a loan taken out about 6yrs ago! We didn't even think that it would be that much, so very happily surprised when I checked the bank this morning to find that they had deposited this into our joint account!
All it took was a bit of digging out of some paperwork, reading the information on here for advice, and completing the form provided on this site. They were not quick in getting back to us, we sent off the paperwork in early July and shortly received a letter saying that they were going to look into in and come back to us within 8 weeks. 8 weeks later and we received another letter stating that they needed more time to look into it and it may be another 8 weeks before they come back to us.
In total it took 11 weeks and one letter sent to gain our £5.5k, and we couldn't be more pleased![STRIKE]Family £400[/STRIKE] CC1 [STRIKE]£415[/STRIKE] Lloyds [STRIKE]£460[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Natwest£750[/STRIKE] £627.59 Tesco [STRIKE]£1880[/STRIKE] £1725 Grand total £2,352.59
Pay off all debt by xmas 2014 #136 £1552.41/£3905

I need some help!
I had two loans with Lombard Direct - both the same product, same type of loan and same PPI. The first loan was consolidated by the second.
Submited two claims and was offered a goodwill gesture for the larger loan and advised that according to Lombard that they hadn't missold the PPI. the second claim was paid outright for the full amount of PPI due with no goodwill gesture or advised missold.
As I was dealing initially with one of these 3rd party companies that would do all the work for you, they advised to accept the goodwill gesture. I dealt with the second claim myself.
I have tried to get an answer from Lombard as to how they could come to a different decision on these claims but have ignored my letters to date. Any suggestions what I could do now as I suppose it their eyes I have accepted the payment but I am querying the process they have adopted to come to their decisions?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.0 -
Myself and wife have had 3 claims upheld this year--Halifax-TMP--HFC and Co-op ppi, this great site gave me the confidence to go ahead and all 3 were pretty easy,Halifax was done over the phone no forms to fill in and the other 2 were quite simple forms, the reasons I gave were that we both had good sickness benefits ie 6 months full and 6 months half pay and with the ppi both were front loaded.
Halifax offered the goodwill gesture and the co-op were not satisfied they had given us their normal high level of service and went back 11 years to when we first took out the loan--HFC also went back 10 years-all in all we are now£13,500 better off and if it wasn't for finding this great website I wouldn't have gone ahead.
Happy days:beer::beer:0 -
