PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

I have just looked the company up which was in fact money partners loans ltd, as found all paperwork with the loan agreement, and the company seems to have dissolved. What would I do now it that instance. The strange thing is that there are PPI claims management companies on there stating that they can get your money back if you have been missold from this company. Sorry to trouble you again Amersall. You don't need to put that, as money pointed out, just send what I put.
Whoever was the second named borrower would have been covered for death only, this makes me laugh as they can chase both of you for the money but both are not fully covered for the full PPI, the main thing here is to get the PPI declared a mis sell and the whole PPI comes off the Mortgage balance and your payment goes down by the PP monthly amount, this will save you thousands in interest over the remaining term.
Let me know what happens with this.0 -
Since they were acting post 14 Jan 2005 you can refer it to the FSCS (financial services compensation scheme). If prior to that you would have been out of luck.karenb7740 wrote: »I have just looked the company up which was in fact money partners loans ltd, as found all paperwork with the loan agreement, and the company seems to have dissolved. I was contacted by First Plus about a month ago. They said I may have been mis-sold PPI with a mortgage loan I had with them. I filled in an online questionnaire and last week I had a letter back saying they'd accepted that I was indeed mis-sold it and that they'd be sending me a cheque for £9,800. That is to cover the complete front loaded PPI payments + 8%0

Is anyone eligible for PPI reclaiming - I don't really understand it. Could someone please help clarify this for me?0

I just thought i'd update with the outcome of our PPI claim with Natwest, Amersall gave me some good advice a couple of months back. Anyway, a few letters (some seemed to go missing) and a couple of months down the line they've offered us two amounts totalling just short of £2k which we're really happy with, we really weren't sure we were going to get anything but finding an old bank statement really helped.
Anyone thinking of claiming do it, it's so easy to write a letter or fill in a form0 -
Hi
I received info from the CCCS a few months ago about reclaiming PPI on the debts me and my husband are paying.
We've contacted a few companies but the only one we've had a reply from, to date is Liverpool Victoria (LV).
We took a loan out with LV in the 90's but as we've had debt problems for quite a no of years, we only finished paying the loan off last year.
I initially rang LV to make a PPI complaint and went through a number of questions with them and then it was left with them to look into it. We honestly didn't think anything would come of the complaint, but after 7 weeks we received an offer of just over £3k :O, but as I'd used the PPI twice many years ago they took that amount off the initial offer leaving £2,575. We were shocked as we really didn't expect anything.
All it took was a quick phone call to do the PPI reclaim questions and the money we've received will clear the Debt Management Plan (DMP) we have. We still have other claims in at the moment, so if we are offered anything it will be ours.
The best thing of all is we will be Debt Free once the DMP is paid and that will be a great feeling.

Don't even think about a claims co, you can put the claim into FSCS as money said.
Looking at your original post, was this loan around 07? if it was, contact FSCS and make the claim, this will get you compensation but the PPI will not be removed from the Mortgage I am afraid, but you can take some of the compensation off the debt if you choose, all it takes to make the claim is a call to FSCS and they send a form for you to fill in... job done.
A claims co will contact FSCS and you fill the form in but the claims co take upwards of 25% plus Vat for doing zilch, contact FSCS yourself.
