Hi - I told them exactly what happened - I was sent my agreement and noticed there was ppi included, rang to say I did not want it and was told I would have to re-apply for the loan if I didn't accept and that there would be a possibility I then would not get the loan.0 -
Hi all
Just joined to tell you about my success.
Sent a letter to HSBC with little information regarding a loan account which had PPI added. Sent the letter in July and on wednesday i received a letter from them saying they would be upholding my complaint and their redress offer of £5,470.
Still waiting for their response regarding my credit card and also just sent letters to Halifax and Virgin for PPI insurance which i didn't even know i had on credit cards.
Thank you all, without seeing this on the forum i would have never even contemplated looking at sorting it out myself. :beer:0 -
Hi Amersall,It is your Direct Debit list you need to look at online, if it is not there then ask the bank if they have the DD details from 09.
Called the royal bank twice and spoke to 2 different people, they claim the info isnt there anymore as the account is closed, any suggestions on what to do next it is only 3 and a bit years since it was closed and Santander have cashed my £10 cheque for Sar but say they cant supply any info without account numbers:mad:
thanks

Thanks for that much appreciated, hopefully I will get the same result as you fingers crossed0 -
Hi everyone,
I put a claim in for PPI that I paid( without my knowledge) to Barclaycard on 22/8/12.
On the 30/8/12 I received a letter saying that they had no policy and my case had been closed.
After lengthy conversations they admitted that they had found my policy on an account that had been blocked.(by Barclaycard after suspicious activity on my card):(
They have since told me that my claim has been put into a "re work" queue and this has no time frame!
I have spoken to the FSO and they said that the 8 weeks still applies! But I have to give Barclaycard the 8 weeks before I can send it onto them:(
I have contacted Barclaycard and they are not interested.
Any help/advice would be much appreciated.:j:D:rotfl::T:):A0 -
Hi All,
Looking for some guidance on next move.
I sent a letter to American Express obviously with my name, address and the dates that I took out the card and also the date I closed the card requesting any information on PPI payments I had made.
I received a letter back today stating that they have reviewed their records with the information I have provided but they have not been able to retrieve the required information. I one bit of information I do not have is the account number of the card, I can't find any statements in the house.
My question is what does the forum think my next steps should be?
My appreciation in advance for any help provided.

Hi Keahsmum,
I put in a claim with Barclaycard in February'12 and it went into re-work in June'12, fobbed off left, right and centre and even sent CEO an email, last week Thursday, whereby his bod says he will resolve for me, no reply as yet! I will give him another week, then am off to court.0 -
After my partner pestered me for ages to try and claim my PPI from previous bank loans i decided to give it a go.
I didn't want to go through one of these companies that continuously advertised and call you.
I called the HSBC complaints line around 7 weeks ago to ask if they could tell me whether i had PPI on any of my previous loans. They told me that i had it on 2 loans in the past so i asked if i could reclaim it back. I told them that i believe i was mis-sold on the basis that the loans were only over 12 month periods and that my sickness benefits at work mean that even if i was off sick over the period of the loan i would still get full salary for 6 months and half for the second 6 months.
I received a letter today saying that they are upholding my claim and offering £655 refund.:T0 -
