    Hi again

I don't know if anyone can answer this or if I should wait and see if my complaint is upheld by the FOS.

The loans I am complaining about are from 2000. If Lloyds have to pay me back do they just pay me the money I paid for the term of the loans or do they add 12 years of interest on?

    Thank you

I believe it is up to this date. However do not get excited yet. You have not won it. Have my fingers crossed though
    CC 1 :- £5800/ £5,800 CC2:-[STRIKE] £4513 / £4513[/STRIKE] CC3: £4622.53/ £4622.53[/STRIKE] CC4:- £8971/ £8971[/STRIKE]
    Loan:- [STRIKE]£1785.63 / £1785.63[/STRIKE] 0

Actual total debt January 2011 £39,451.30 Paid to date 39,375.77
 PPI from HSBC = £4172

Thank you very much for your reply and yes you are very right I wont get my hopes up, after all the FOS could change their mind and side with Lloyds
  • When shall I call it a success with RBS? When I get my cheque or can I call it a success now as they have confirmed receiving my acceptance letter? It's for £5292, but I think understand they redo the sum on the day of cheque writing.

As you might work out from my signature I am a bit excitable about the cheque coming through.

P.S. Someone mentioned using pre-raid reply envelopes. It's well worth still paying for postage yourself on these I think so you can send them recorded.
Debt at LBM Christmas 2007/8 £70,000
Debt now 3000, but PPI payment that covers this and more in the way. :j
    Thank you MSE forums!

Just got a letter from the financial ombudsman to advise that Black Horse will be offering a goodwill payment.

However the letter advises that if i am not happy to contact them within 14 days but it states that Black Horse can take weeks to arrange a settlement figure.

So how does this work then?
  • Hey All
after taking around 4 weeks to read the majority of posts since Jan 2012! and experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions reading about claims which are nothing to do with me :o I have finally decided to bite the bullet and get on with it.
I have learned that if you are sure you were missold you need to detail why you want to complain about it (seems obvious but...) and then you need to be very very patient so as the name says.....
  • hi

I was looking for some advise if anyone can help. I recently sent 3 completed questionnaires to Bank of Scotland with reference to the mis-selling of PPI. I received a rejection letter for 1 of them stating that the found no evidence of the policy being mis-sold to us. I sent them another letter on Thursday stating that we had 4 loans with a single premium policy for each 1 dating from 2001 - 2006 all of which were reconsolidated from the previous loan.
In 2009 I made a claim to Bank of Scotland for the mis-selling of the only 1 I thought we had with them and they upheld the complaint! How is it possible to be sold each of them in the exact same way and for 1 to be upheld and another to rejected? Also was I right to send them another letter or should I have just contacted the FSA? There was no mention of the letter being a final response. Thank you in advance for any response.

    Hi All
After a rejection letter last week about Hubbys ppi claims on 3 loans, and another letter about the loans in my name requesting another 8 weeks and i was very surprised to recieve a letter yesterday from Lloyds informing me my CC claim was upheld and i would get back £1194 wahoo lol which i didnt even claim for they must have looked at all our buisness with them.
what i am wondering now is, i know when we took the loans out we definatly presured/persuaded into having the ppi on the loan, and them making us believe our application would not be accepeted if we didnt have it,
Which i appriciate is the weakest of the mis sell claims as it is only hear say.
What i wanted to know was although he has had a rejection letter would it be worth hubby writing back to lloyds saying he is not happy with their decision as he was definatly presured into taking the policy out especially when he didnt need it as he has full sickness etc benefits at work, and also ask them for a copy of the original paperwork should we wish to take it further. or is it once they have said no that is the end of the matter.
    Many thanks for any advise
    Lyn

Hi I have written to LoydsTsb after recieving a letter yesterday as I know I was as you say pressured/persuaded to have the PPI I have requested notes on the sale which they say they have looked at, I dont think they will be able provide as I have asked at my branch if there is any such note on my account and they have said no. I still think it is a lottery despite what people say and I am not saying that for any other reason than reading some of the cases on here I have done exactly as they have done. I also think that LloydsTsb should start dealing with their customers complaints themselves and stop pushing it on to the FOS to sort. They know they are guilty of mis selling which is why we are all trying to claim our money back.

Been a while since I last posted....after a long wait and a few delays I have finally heard back from Barclaycard. Both claims on my barclaycard and my previous eggcard (now barclays) have both been upheld. Both on the terms that I was misold as the cover was not needed as I was a student. I received a total of £3000 for both which has now cleared off all my credit card debt with a little extra.

Thank you so much for all your help everyone! we were in a bit of a financial struggle after my partner left the military and took a lower paid job, but now we will be £200 better off each month.

I am taking my lloyds dispute to the Ombudsman as they said I do not have enough evidence to win my case even though it was sold to me on a student credit card (at the branch near the campus) by a pushy student finance banker.

Thanks again!!! I can sleep better now!
PPI Claims won £3000:j now free of all credit card debt after 10 years.

Will I win my Lloyds battle!!!

Currently saving for our wedding and what seems like a million other things":)

This site has been a great help since I have been a member I have received two refunds one from Capital one £5,000 and just recently Tesco Bank £5,800.
    So it is fantastic!!!

I am waiting for a reply from HFC which is taking a while and also Egg/Barclaycard, but looking at the forum it looks like Barclaycard may be a bit of a battle, they keep sending me letter saying they are working on it but to date there are no offers (its been about 2 months)

I am a bit wearing as my husband has a barclaycard that he has had since 1980 and still has, it looks like he will be in for a bit of a battle, but I think we will try.

I am really pleased with my results so far!:T
Hi well done on your successes
can i ask how long the capital one claim took i have sent off to them i did recieve a letter to say they would look into it which is nearly 8 weeks ago now.
    Thanks Lyn
