.just wondered any one had any bother? also 3 of my claims are over the 6yr cut off point but i have the orginal loan agreement and statements from these dates so will they pay out?
Things sadly do go missing ask amazon I am always claiming for missing itemsLOL
It will be fine through the internal mail.
The 6 year cut off does not exist, this is simply a guidlene for the amount of time that banks need to keep your detials for. If you have the original paperwork and valid reasons then the complaint may still be upheld even after this time. Just ensure that you have the proof that you need.CC 1 :- £5800/ £5,800 CC2:-[STRIKE] £4513 / £4513[/STRIKE] CC3: £4622.53/ £4622.53[/STRIKE] CC4:- £8971/ £8971[/STRIKE]Loan:- [STRIKE]£1785.63 / £1785.63[/STRIKE] 0

I have just had my claim for a refund of PPI on a credit card rejected by RBoS. The reason? The policy was provided on a "non advised" basis, via postal application completed by you and returned to Royal Bank of Scotland. Blah, blah, blah. This is patently not true. I sat in branch while one of the staff completed the form - including ticking the box for Payment Protection and telling me I'd need that, and I just signed it. Where do I go from here? The Ombudsman? Or should I keep at RBoS?
Edit to add: I've just looked at the box where the tick has been placed to accept PPI. It says "We strongly recommend you take out this cover". if that isn't advice, what is?0 -

Got a letter on the post today for another loan saying they have uphold my claim, how long till they send the offer letter out?0

Did you pay the PPI in wih the loan payment each month? if you did, this was Single Premium PPI and this is the reason that you use for the mis sell, as others have said, the reason you stated is hearsay and is hard to prove, what other reasons did you give for mis sell and was this the final response from the bank?.0

Well I guess my posts are either questions that cannot be answered, or that I am the only one who can see them. Hmmm.
Either way, I don't see the point in posting anymore so I wish you all the best. Goodbye.0 -
I didnt think I would stand a chance of reclaiming PPI because the loans I had were 10, 12 and 15 years ago. After thinking about it for a while I decided to ring the Lloyds PPI number......nothing ventured (as they say). Anyway they informed me that I had had three loans with single premium PPI. I started the claim there and then. I put it to the back of my mind as I wasnt hopeful. After 8 weeks I got a letter asking for up to another 8 weeks. Another three weeks passed and lo and behold I got a letter a few days ago offering me just over £7000. I got £1200 for one loan that they said they didnt have any details for and the rest for the other loans. They never rang me during that time to ask any more questions. All it took was one phone call and to think I nearly didnt bother. In the letter they said that if I had any documents relating to the first loan I should send them and they would recalculate the refund. I dont have any paper work unfortunately. I was told that if they didnt hear from me by 16th August they would pay the money into my account as soon as possible.
Now where are those cruise brochures! :j:j:j:beer:0 -
Hi
I had a credit card with Lloyds TSB when they were just TSB and I didn't think I could reclaim PPI though I was sure I had seen it on some old paperwork when I first had the card but I still wrote to them. Anyway they wrote a very vague letter back saying I never had PPI on the card so I must be mistaken.
They have since sent me a rather snotty letter saying I did have PPI on three loans I have had with them but I can't claim as I was fully aware of taking it out. This confused me as I have never agreed to take PPI out as I don't believe it is worth the paper it is written on and I am in a job that pays me in the event of sickness so wouldn't need PPI.
I got in touch with the Financial Ombudsman who agreed I did have a case and is going to send me the relevant paperwork to sign. I still don't want to get my hopes up that I will get anything back as I know previously when I have had issues with Lloyds and have got the Ombudsman involved, the bank have always won as such.
Will keep my fingers crossed though0 -
Hi guys,
I realise we haven't posted in a very long time but now the end is (in theory) near I wondered if anyone could help us (again, sorry!) understand what on earth has gone on.
Ok, Sept 23rd 2012 should be the last payment date (month 60 of 60 month loan period). Not wanting to sound like a stuck record but our payment history is as follows:
3 months @ £246.62
12 months @ £252.84
45 months @ £261.16
This included £1,537.50 (Aarrrgggghhh!!!) in PPI which was cancelled in April 2011 and £384.38 rebate repaid to GE Money. So if loan of £10k and PPI had run full term, repayment would total £15,526.14. Balance repaid so far is £14,414.20, so how can GE justify a further £1,402 remains unpaid when PPI no longer exists? FOS are being as useful as a chocolate fireguard and since we were told the cancellation of PPI would enable loan to be repaid sooner it doesn't make sense. Help please!!Well I guess my posts are either questions that cannot be answered, or that I am the only one who can see them. Hmmm.
Either way, I don't see the point in posting anymore so I wish you all the best. Goodbye.
People on here are helpful your case seems complicated, you need to remember that most the people on here are not financial wizards they are simply people who have read the thread and have claimed the ppi for themselves and are now offering others advice.
Have you actually claimed back your PPI or just cancelled it?
Maybe you should consult a financial adviser?CC 1 :- £5800/ £5,800 CC2:-[STRIKE] £4513 / £4513[/STRIKE] CC3: £4622.53/ £4622.53[/STRIKE] CC4:- £8971/ £8971[/STRIKE]Loan:- [STRIKE]£1785.63 / £1785.63[/STRIKE] 0

Hi again
I don't know if anyone can answer this or if I should wait and see if my complaint is upheld by the FOS.
The loans I am complaining about are from 2000. If Lloyds have to pay me back do they just pay me the money I paid for the term of the loans or do they add 12 years of interest on?
Thank you0
