You'll only get a "second decision" from FOS. The Bank is unlikely to seriously reconsider a rejection unless significant additional evidence is offered by the complainant. The bank are not required to reconsider after a "full and final" response( that's the job of FOS), so there are no regulated timescales involved.
    Refer your complaint to FOS.

It wasn't a full and final response the letter said to submit further evidence within 28 days, which I did. I just wondered how long they take to come to a full and final decision?

A few more weeks and I will sent to fos.

it really begs belief how after reading, some of the posts on here, these people can try to get away with this without some sort of criminal investigations.
I've been charged ppi on my credit card since 1999 through to 2011 without my knowledge by Lloyd's tsb even though I'm self employed and also had private health care with them for possibly 5 years, and to read I'm not the only person to not receive the questionnaire and get the case closed approach just sickens me
i really feel the banking industry is full of deceitful people, and my only hope is with the FOS but that's going to take up to 18 months and i have no guarantee of success, the only thing i have is hope, and a slight chance justice will prevail for me and many others, however,i really cant see the banking industry changing the way they conduct their business
    any thoughts please
  • Hiya All, :AAfter hearing Martin Lewis on tv about claiming ppi's i decided to try it for myself and took his advice i rang up welcome finance whom i had a loan with and ask a copy of my terms and agreements that i signed after several months of waiting i finally received a 12 page form asking for me to fill sign and send back it was from the fscs department of welcome finance which i did, not knowing if i had a claim or not to my amazement after again waiting a short while i received a letter stating i was entitled to a full refund plus interest charges on top the amount which ended up to over 4,000 and wiped my debt out thanks to the amazing Martin Lewis i managed to clear all my debts and be debt free for nearly a year now every penny i'm earning is mine and its a fantastic feeling i'm now claiming against capital one and have again just won again and egg credit cards i would recommend anyone to have a go yourself for the cost of your time and a few stamps its really worth it this has been hanging over me for years your a brilliant man Martin Lewis and i owe you all my happiness xx
  • Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I sent off 4 PPI claims to Barclays, and when I got their letter acknowledging my complaints they only quoted 3 reference numbers. I haven't received any communication since, but on Friday received 5 payments into my bank entitled PPI & INT, which I can only assume is from Barclays. I'm not 100% sure the amounts are as high as they should be as I worked out a basic figure from all the paperwork I have. Is there a way I can contact Barclays and ask for a breakdown? Surely I have to agree to the amount they choose before the actually reimburse me?
    Thanks in advance!!!

hi there completely agree with you we live in a very wicked world .once upon a time we used to go to the banks for solid trusting advice dunno what happened to these people but i suppose its come home to roost.MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL.buts its only a greedy minority but they rule with an IRON FIST so the staff have to do what they are told to do ,feel sorry for the workers.GREED BY THE SOLE CALLED DIRECTORS AND CHIEF EXECS

well after the 2nd phone call from Halifax , i have received a 2nd rejection , not really surprised as it will be a 7k plus payout and i get the feeling they dont really want to do that .
The phone call i recevied and the letter i received gave no further explanations so its off to the FOS tomorrow with the details . I am pretty confident i will win this complaint as PPI was reinstated even after i had cancelled it .

My husband has just been offered £23,000 back from Barclaycard. Would of been a lot more but had no statements, but account was still running and they only paid out for the last 6 years! Account opened in 1992 and was self employed.:j

    Quick question folks.
Are black horse part of lloyds?
I submitted a claim to black horse weeks ago. In the meantime i sent a sar to lloyds which revealed details of this black horse loan i was already claiming on.
I,ve received a letter from black horse upholding my claim but they also say they have investigated another loan and rejected this one.
I knew nothing about this loan.
Should i have got details of this loan from my lloyds sar or should i have sent a seperate sar to black horse?
