After last weeks rejection from lloyds i have written back and asked them to re-consider as it was single premium and i was unaware of the unfair rebate,
    My questions are,

1 What sort of timescale am i looking at for a response? is it another 8 weeks or are there no guidelines?

2 Has anyone had any experience of lloyds changing their minds? or am i just going through the motions before going to the fos?

I have done exactly the same thing 3 weeks ago. Rang them yesterday, still no update. Just remember you only have six months to go to the fos. I'm going to give them put to about 5 months so tha I don't lose my chance to take it further if I need to.

My wife had a successful claim from Natwest and was offered X amount and Y interest. She signed the documentation agreeing to accept this amount (X + Y).
Yesterday she received a letter and cheque and the amount of interest (Y) had been reduced by nearly £40 without explanation. Has anyone else had this experience?

Give them a call an ask why, it may be that the y was calculated to a certain date but it was paid earlier or they just calculated this wrong.
Only the bank can explain this.

You only have the 6 months to go to FOS if the bank give a final response and tell you to go to FOS, the 6 months starts from the date of the letter.

If they reject your complaint and it is a final response, then I would go to FOS after 6 weeks if there was no reply if you wrote back and rejected the reasons for mis sell.

I would also be interested in the answer to this; had a card which at various times the company changed from a debenhams to a burton to a top shop card - can't remember in which order. The only paperwork I have left is a statement from the Arcadia Group.

    It is Santander.

Fair point and yes the 8% would just cover the interest payments I didn't really have a choice but to add it to my mortgage at the time still a feel as if I'm being ripped off as I would have recieved the 8% even if I hadn't added it to my mortgage. I accept that they wouldn't pay the interest for the whe term of my mortgage only until they settled and then it would be up to me to pay it off my mortgage. Perhaps I am just expecting too much.:(
When you settled the loan you would have paid the remaining PPI back to the settlement figure after the rebate, they have given you the whole PPI back that you paid and this included the remaining PPI you paid back in settlement.

The interest is in the PPI that you have been given back, you get the monthly payments made and the interest on these and the 8% this does put you back in the position you would have been had the PPI not been on there.

Just had a letter back from capital 1 eight weeks since you applied and there will be another 4 week delay due to huge volume recived. I accutual sent the letter 4 weeks before this.

Do I just sit and wait

TSB sent a letter for another credit card and said I presume your complaining about the PPI .. Hellow this was in the letter PPI. they will look into this.
Have had one lot back from an old tsb card.

On my credit report I found a few other cards that been paid up. So ask for all info of accounts with the tsb.

Just shows you how much you accutally can pay out.

Get claiming folkes its your to have . just have to put pen to paper.

I hope to get it back as it will get my debts down and want to clear them all. Never do it again:T

Is it possible that the £40 is tax deducted? I think Natwest are one of the few that do deduct the tax from the interest.

I would ring them and ask.

Very likely the answer is yes, especially as we can have no way of knowing what amount Y and amount X are!

After waiting 9 weeks for Lloyds to make a decision on my Loan PPI, I gave them a ring today and asked what the hold up was. Was told that they are currently recieving 1'500 claims per week and so are sending out letters asking for another 4 weeks! I asked how far mine had progressed and was told that 9 items had been given the green light, and the only thing waiting was the calculation of the rebate amount. I said to the young lad, "I take it, this means my claim has been upheld", he replied " I suppose it does". Honestly how long does it take a bank to calculate a few figures?
