Hi,
Thanks for that info.
They did'nt say they had sent it out on the system it was saying offer contracted completed.
Fingers crossed for next week then.

Hi All,
Its my first time on here, I'm looking for some advice really. I have claimed PPi from my credit card held with nationwide. I had paid ppi from 2002 - 2009. I did not tick the box on the credit card agreement. They have agreed I have a case and have offered me £406.16, which I feel is a bit pants if i'm honest. They have said that interest will be paid, but no mention of compensation and also no mention of how much interest. I feel they are trying to fob me off if I am honest. Can I refuse and take it to the ombudsman?
Thanks Cate0 -

Hi there
I can confirm on this one, that is correct, if you do not hold all the details yourself from older cases, and they are aware you taken out ppi that is the standard offer on each one.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
And welcome
If they uphold your complaint, as compensation, you should receive all you have paid of the ppi premiums, plus the relevent interest included, this differs to loan ppi interest to what I am aware of.
So depending on what you paid, is what you should receive, and yes by all means if you think it's incorrect and they will not put it right, you have the right to complain to the FOS.
Good luck.:)
I would ask them to provide you with a detailed calculated breakdown, this should enclose details of what you paid of the ppi since opening and closing the account. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Sent a claim to Halifax claiming PPi back on credit card since 2004. Had a letter rejecting my claim they said that the issue of PPi would have been discussed when card taken out (not to my recollection, as i went to bank on receipt of first bill asking what additional payment was for!!!!). In addition they said that on 4th March 2004 (approx month after i took card), i agreed to PPi on the phone. I have no recolletion of this call but find it strange because i dont likr agreeing to anything over the phone i prefer face to face meets.
Is it worth forwarding to Ombudsman as it seems its the word of the bank against me. Anyone else experienced similar and how did you progress.
Very confused and unsure
thanks

The poster you asked this question of was Credit card redress and this is worked out differently to loans.
PPI redress is paid on the actual PPI amount that was on the loan and that you actually paid, it does not follow the larger the loan the greater the PPI payout for mis sell.
Did you get the figures of how they worked the redress out for MBNA one? if you did then post them up and we will see if the redress was correct, you need the loan term start and end date, the total PPI amount, if the PPI was cancelled at any point or settled early, all these go to work the redress out.
Thank you. Hmmm..... don't know if I can give all the information correctly. They did not mention the PPI, so I don't know what I paid.
I borrowed £12k in July 2001 but paid £428.57 for 36 months which come to £15428.52 but I don't know the interest rate.
MBNA letter say total amount of PPI and associated interest charged £1637.35
Total amount of of 8% interest £1245.71
Total amount £2883.06
Many thanks for your interest.0
