My job gives me enough benefits which meant I didn't need PPI and basically I was paying out more monthly than necessary.

Interesting - they rejected mine but said if I had more information to let them know and they will look at it again - had missed 2 phone calls from them so they decided to make a decision! My reasons are pretty much the same, so gives me a little hope now. Thanks.

Well update from last week. Called Lloyds TSB last Wednesday 20th June, received the letter today from Lloyds confirming my complaint that they are now gathering information and will assess it further. However I have had two missed calls from a number which I don't recognise so not sure if this is Lloyds trying to contact me on the following number 01792 764610 but when I ring it back you can't connect to it. Has anyone else had this number call??

I don't know the number but Lloyds tried to ring me twice (so they say in my letter) so it could have been them.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
claimed back ppi for girlfriend and they have offered an amount..just need a couple of things cleared up before accepting

when the calculation states less early settlement is that because another loan was taken out whick is seen as paying off in part the original policy premium

in turn is that why the later loans have zero amounts under original premium ppi but all figures are under residual

    for example....original ppi..£1351
less early settlement (date stated is 3 weeks after the next loan taken out) £904
the above loan was originally £6952 60mnths @ 165 and lasted 22/02/05 to 18/01/06.....this was then replaced by loan taken out 13/01/06 of £6200 60 x £147....and so on

hope this makes sense and thanks in advance..

:jWell, having viewed your site in April this year, I swiftly, and at no expense, completed your free PPI Claim Template letter, I was wanting to claim back Mortgage PPI which I believed I had been mis-sold over the phone by Lloyds in 2006.I made sure I included the key wording that was advised, and I didnt let it put me off that Mortgage PPI'S were less commonly mis-sold.
With only the cost of a First Class stamp, I sent the letter to Lloyds. I had a swift reply from Lloyds on 2nd May 2012 saying they would deal with my complaint within 8 weeks.
As promised, I have received a letter within the 8 weeks notifying me that they are giving me a no-quibble full refund, plus 8% interest, so a cheque is now on its way to me for £5700!!!!! I am thrilled to bits!!!! That this years holiday and spends paid for!!! Woohoo!!!

Thank you so much, you have made my year!! xxx

If the information they want is so essential to your complaint, they'll doubtless write to you if they fail to contact you by telephone. I wouldn't be concerned about the missed calls, therefore.

(Incidentally, calls where you are rung but no one answers are more commonly associated with sales and marketing calls.)

Yes, this is exactly the reason.

I never got to speak to them - the first I heard they had called, was when I received a letter through the post rejecting my claim but also saying if I had further evidence to send it in!

I claimed on a NATWEST platinum MasterCard that I had from 2004 until this year. Made a phonecall to the ppi line. Gave all my info over the phone. Received a phonecall from a chap last tues . Was asked reasons why I thought I was miss sold. He said he will review my case and come back to within 3-5 working days. Received a letter today offering me just over 6k..:T

If you are thinking of using a company to claim for you DON'T. please do it yourself. Take it from me..I paid out 25% plus VAT on a 25k refund when I thought you needed to use a company in order to successfully claim...DO IT YOURSELF....
