Thanks to MSE I just thought I would share my success.

On the 12/06/12 I posted off my FOS questionnaires, no need for a PPI claim company!!! Just had my first response:

MBNA Upheld: £4079 ( thats more than the outstanding debt) - they had refused to pay out on the insurance in 2009 as I was self employed. I was hit with the same response from all the lenders I was with. With all good intentions I had insured everything.

    1 down, 4 to go!!

Fortunately (or thank god) I have stored all my statements dating back 12 years. Im going after for every single lender, the stress that I have been put under over the last couple of years because of debt spiralling out of control because they wouldnt honour the insurance.

I have now offered to help my mother and my mother in law to claim theres, as they are getting approached fast and furiously by PPI claim companies. My advice to everyone out there is do not hestitate to reclaim what is rightly yours, and if you can help a relative - do it!! The process is so easy thanks to MSE.
  • I contacted Lloyds TSB regarding PPI I had on a car loan taken out in 2002.

I used Martin's template and waited.

I received a reply today with an offer of £5000! I have
accepted their offer and am now looking forward to paying off some debts.

    Thank you Martin!!!!

Not a happy bunny today as I have received a load of dribble from Black Horse rejecting my ppi claim on a pre 2005 loan.

Question has anybody had re-dress on their rejection either before or post FOS complaint?

  • £300 offer today from MBNA from a credit card with only £1000 credit on it. 1 down 8 more claims to go, I might be visiting South America sooner than I realised!

I have noticed there are different FOS PPI questionnaire template. Does it make a difference which one is completed? They are obviously for Credit cards and loans, so which one would you complete for claiming from a catalogue company??

    Thanks in advance

    Hi swimmer,

  • Hi Janetandbecks,

I had an agreement whereby I paid £60 pm and no interest whilst I was studying. I maintained all my payments from the onset of the agreement.

I spoke to a few different people before they agreed the amount but I assume the fact that the call was recorded proving my complaint was the only reason they agreed.

    hope this helps x
  • I'm on a mission after reading the posts on here.

My Husband had 3 previous loans but they are years old. The oldest one is from 1998.
I rang Barclays and sent the questionaire back about 3 weeks ago.

I have read a few comments about Barclays and they don't seem all that positive but I'm thinknng if you don't ask you don't get.

I'm not expecting anything back as my husband went Bankcrupt in 2006. He has paid his dues by means of losing our family home and it is for this reason I thought I'd have a go at reclaiming for him.

    fingers crossed x

    Morning all,

Just wanted to add that I have successfully claimed back my PPI from Welcome Finance and to honest , very smooth process.

From beginning to end approx 7 weeks. £3310.53 in my pocket , thank you.

Now dealing with a 3rd party broker for my RBS PPI Claim , as they will not be held liable for a 3rd party broker , who apparently was working on there behalf.

    Happy Claiming :):j
