Just had our rejection letter from barclaycard and just wondered if anyone can tell me what we need to send to FOS, is it copies of the forms we sent to barclaycard and the rejection letter from barclaycard and a covering letter from ourselves? Thanks in advance for any advice.
Just rung barclaycard to clarify if the rejection letter was for both our card complaints and have been told that it only covers 1 and the other complaint is being upheld!!:j How strange as both cards were applied for together and the FOS forms I filled in had the same info on them?? Anyone any idea why they upheld one and not the other, and should I send off to the FOS now for the 1st one? Thank you again to all on here who gave me the courage to apply this is our 2nd success so far with several more waiting to hear from :j0 -

Just had a success with a Halifax credit card PPI from 11 years ago.
I still have the card so I thought why not try it, 10 mins of my time filling in the form.
I tried to work out how much it was, I came to a figure of £700. Received a letter from them and almost chocked:
Inital PPI £1000
Interest on PPI I had paid (as it went onto the credit card): £900
Interest at 8% since: £600
Total of £2500!
Funny enough later that day the budget for wife's new car went up by £2500. Coincidences eh
Thanks to MSE for encouraging me to do this!0 -
August last year a got a third party (empire claims) to recover my mis-sold ppi back from a loan with LloydsTSB, I thought it a good idea to let them see if they could recover anything from a credit card too. To my amazement the bank refunded me 700pounds BONUS (minus 25% for empire claims). This was sorted within 28 days. The loan however was a different story, I was told in writing by Lloyds in October that I would receive payment of 2,966 within 28 days, October then November and finally December passed by with numerous calls and letters demanding payment from empire claims ( they received the same letter in October) yet no payment from Lloyds. By January I started ringing the 0845 Lloyds to no avail other than high phone bills. I was contacted by Lloyds in March stating the money owed would be in my account within 18 days, April it was released but the bank could not say how long until it would be in my account. On the 8th of June I was looking for help on this site as nobody at empire claims or Lloyds knew what the holdup was. I came across a post to contact LloydsTSB customer care at the following address customer.care.insurance@LloydsTSB.co.UK. I gathered all the correspondance (2letters) I'd had from Lloyds and attached them to an email to Lloyds asking for them to look into the slow if existant cogs of ppi refunds. Said email was sent 9/6/2012 it is now 20/6/2012 and today I received 3,111 pounds refund (happy days). So rather than sitting there reading this post thinking 'It's ok my 3rd party are dealing with it and keeping me informed' Don't bank on it, they only want their money and so many of us are using them they see fit to ignore chasing the banks for payment. Do yourself a favour as I did and email the customer care to resolve you're issue, its so easy to do and money you deserve so why wait. All the best to you all and keep up the good fight.:T0

Quick refresh- My partner put in a claim for two loans and a cc on 1st May and last week the PPI for both loans were paid out £ 3250 wahoo and we are still waiting for decision on the cc. Apparently it takes longer due to the calculations and it's a separate dept. I am not holding my breath tho as I know quite a few people on here have been rejected for their CC claims with Lloyds...we shall see;)
were your loans with lloyds tsb too?0 -
Barclays are messing people about at the moment, they are saying the first thing that comes out of their mouths :)wait and see what you get, seems to me this is being rejected if he implied rejection letters are dealt with in a different way, was this a loan or Credit Card?.
Wife got her Letter from Barclays upholding her complaint she almost fell out of the chair as it was for a loan dating back to 2002 (when paid off) she received £6691 by a cheque today approx half of that is interest .

Hi,
Has anyone has an initial rejected complaint overturned? If so which bank was it? I have had a rejection letter for my rbs cc and dont know whether to persure it or not.
Thank you
I had my complaint rejected by Lloyds and I asked them to reconsider, supplied more information and last week I got a letter saying my mortgage ppi was being upheld and was offered, just short of £5000.0 -

This is my first ever post - eeek!
I sent 2 ppi requests to Halifax two weeks ago and got a letter of acknowledgement confirming that they will investigate and respond within 8 weeks. Fingers crossed!
Things like this never happen to me, my hubby and I are in severe financial hardship and reading these stories is making me really emotional because just getting a few hundred back would make such an enormous different to us, I can't bear to think about actually getting any money back in case it doesn't happen
Best of luck with you claim
