PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

I got a letter yesterday to say that my complaint has been upheld:j

It was for PPI I had been missold on a loan from Egg.

I am getting back £2001.65 :T

I only had to send them a letter. No need for FOS.

It has only taken approx 6 weeks altogether :beer:

After doing nothing but filling in a survey that HSBC sent me and sending it back in the envelope provided I have received a letter today just short of 8 weeks later offering £2804.57

This will be paid off the debt I have with them under a DMP with other debt so I will not see the money direct but it will take 2 years off the life of the DMP so I am happy that I will be debt free quicker than planned

Hi,

Has anyone has an initial rejected complaint overturned? If so which bank was it? I have had a rejection letter for my rbs cc and dont know whether to persure it or not.

Got a letter saying complaint upheld.

Any idea how long before receive payment?

Hello and well done.... I am awaiting to find our how much I have had upheld. Can you let me know how much your oriignal loan was for and ppi element so I can get an idea........ if not no worries.

Loan was for £25000 I think. PPI total was £3426, interest on premiums £459, 8% interest £867

Happy days. Barclays have just paid me 516.98 back from two loans I took out.
I had claimed on my insurance so was not sure what Id get back so its a great result.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Martin and for all the people who have contributed to PPI threads on this site.

I was verging on passing the claims on to one of the firms because I thought it would be a lot of hassle but after reading the threads and the guide to re-claiming, for the price of a few stamps, I figured it was worth a try.

I put in 5 complaints to Lloyds around 8 weeks ago- 4 loans spanning back 10 years and a credit card.

This morning, they've paid £3800 into the bank account. I'm not sure what it relates to because I've not recieved any paperwork yet but to say I'm happy is a bit of an understatement.

hi all , wondering how i can complain about claims advisory group...silly me agreed for them to claim my ppi.thing is they sent me an invoice for nearly 2500 pounds and the letter from the bank offers me 1499 pounds, they say an initial offer sent to me from the bank was nearly 7000 pounds which i havent seen, so it is down to me to pay 39% ov the first offer from the bank even though the letter i have states considerably less.surely thats fraud.

oh yeah im in an IVA so i wasnt aware i wouldnt get a penny back and claims advisory group njever asked about mt financial situation.
