Hi all,
Had a response from LLoyds TSB about my credit card PPI claim....They have rejected it.
My original complaint was i was unaware i had it and i only become aware when i received an annual review of PPI which i got after amking a complaint about a loan i had with them which i thought to be coincidental. I am going to request credit agreement and see what it says.
Have people had similar outcomes and how have they responded? Any additional reasons etc or go straight to the FOS?
Any help you guys can provide is much appreciated.
Success so far - LLoyds loan - £6100!!0 -
To what purpose are you going to do this?I am going to request credit agreement and see what it says.
You have made a complaint based on not knowing you had PPI, but it will have appeared on EVERY credit card statement.
Remember, you can't complain about simply having PPI; it must have been mis-sold to you.

I'm going to phone up and ask for it. Might help, you never know.0

It won't help you at all.I'm going to phone up and ask for it. Might help, you never know.
You also can't "ring up and ask for it"; a copy has to be purchased from them for £1 and it won't be available at all if the account is closed.
You seem to be attempting to "close the door after the horse has bolted". Any research needed to be done BEFORE you complained, not after you have been rejected.0 -

Hello all,
I've received a successful reclaim letter from HSBC for the following:
What was being reclaimed: Loan PPI
Who was the provider: HSBC
How much did you get back: £1,901.48
How did you get it back: Letter to HSBC using templates from MSE
Personal loan that I was advised at the time I needed to have PPI in order to get the loan - therefore I took out the policy. Form that was signed by me had been pre-ticked by the bank branch.
What was being reclaimed: Credit Card PPI
Who was the provider: HSBC
How much did you get back: £1,842.50
How did you get it back: Letter to HSBC using templates from MSE
Credit Card that was offered out of the blue by the bank - then contacted by them to follow up - decided to take the card and was advised that I had to take out the 'optional' PPI if I definitely wanted to be accepted.
Very happy with the result and wishing I had claimed earlier - thanks to the help here on Money Saving Expert in guiding me through the process!0 -
Hi everyone!
Thanks to being pointed in the right direction by the helpful peeps round here I've just heard back today about my PPi claim for a Style Store Card.
I believed I had been missold, however as it turned out that I cleared and closed the account some years aga (2004 it turns out!!) I wasn't really expecting anything.
Now I have £205 winging its way to me!
Very happy.0 -
