Thank you for your reply. I rang the complaints line and was told they did not have telephone transcript , it was too long ago.
So how did they know what was said to make you take this PPI, giving you details of the PPI does not constitute that you knew what the PPI cost, and I would put this in the letter, also, if this was not an advised sale, as the transcript is not available, how do they know what the salesperson said to make you change your mind, you did not want this initially but then took it after a phone call ??, tell them that if they cannot prove that you asked for this PPI after declining it at application, then you will take this to FOS.
You must have not ticked the box for PPI otherwise you would not have had the telephone conversation later, something must have been said to you during the phone call that made you take this PPI.

    Many thanks

Is that a common mis sell ?
It is, as the PPI led to you paying more, plus more interest.

    Thanks Again
    Sorry for all the questions.

This happened to a couple more of my CC but did not put that down as a reason for a mis-sell on the questionaire as I did not know it was will they investigate only my reason what I put down or will they look at everything of the PPI on the CC?.
  • I took out a personal loan in 2005, repaid by 2010, and after seeing alot about PPI reclaiming in the media I checked my old paperwork. PPI had been added to my loan even though I actually didn't need it (due to company insurance I get through my job). I was a bit nervous about persuing this on my own instead of going through one of the big claims companies but I just followed the simple steps outlined on this excellent website. Seven weeks after I sent my initial letter and copies of loan paperwork to Santander I received a letter yesterday saying they will refund the PPI (including interest) totalling £3563.89!! Amazing. It really was as simple as that. I still can't believe it. So don't be nervous or put this off. A MASSIVE THANKYOU to Martin and moneysavingexpert.com!!:j

This is SP PPI, don't think that you will have paid a separate PPI payment, the year is a good indicator that this was SP PPI, use this as a reason when you fill the form in.

oh so it should have been a seperate payment then?

Still waiting for my PPI claim on two Lloyds TSB loans to be reviewed. They turned me down initially but misquoted me in their defend letter. I wrote to them over 6 weeks ago and have been phoning regularly for an update but keep getting told to proceed to FOS as they never uphold something they have already defended. E-mailed CEO and asked for a full and final decision one way or the other before I proceed to FOS. Been told today that they have asked for a calculation so it looks like they may be upholding my complaint. Let's hope so - we'll see!!
    Success so far:

Bank charges refund plus interest: over £6000 :j
Mortgage PPI refund plus interest: over £9000 :j

I would like to say a big thankyou to everyone who has posted here with their experiences and advice. You gave me the courage to make the claim myself.

I telephoned a claims company and they said that the would send me forms out,the same afternoon I came across this site.It was so inspirational that I decided to claim myself.I printed the forms from MSE site then filled them in and sent them recorded delivery.Well, here we are 9 weeks later and I've just been on the phone for an update and id like to tell you all that I'm now £1500.00 richer.(awaiting my acceptance letter)Woo hoo!!!!!

    AND ITS ALL MINE!!!!

Many thanks again and I wish everyone well with their claims.:A
