Sorry :o I have answered so many posts regarding SP PPI, that I just seem to get carried away :D
Send it to FOS, reiterate the reasons you have for mis sell and anything that you had in place that would have paid the card had you been off work sick, made redundant or had other means to pay this.

You would not have taken this PPI if you had no need of it.
    Thanks amersll:)
Don't you say sorry you keep us all going on here :A

I've been in the same position. They signed for my recorded delivery letter about 6 weeks ago and it's still not showing on their system. Out of frustration I e-mailed their CEO this week and that seems to have spurred them on. Got a reply within an hour and by the next day my complaint had been passed for a review. No reply yet but at least it seemed to get things moving! CEO address is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Worth a try!
    Thanks for the info
I have just phoned them again to tell them what day the letter had been delivered and asked for email address so I could send it again. The person I spoke to this time told me if could still be with the review department who look at it before passing it on.
They must have a thick book of excuses or is it a joke book :rotfl:

You can if you do not agree with the reasons they give, PPI costs a lot on a card especially with the insurance, it is hard to get a win sometimes, wait and see what they come back with and let me know what they say and we can take it from there.

Took the plunge and rang First Plus to ask for some information on an old loan I had with them, which I settled early about three years ago. The lady was really helpful and asked if my call was regarding PPI?. As I had no paper work my question was what type of PPI was it? She said I had a Single premium and that I had money owing to me having checked my details. She said I would hear from them in the next week or so with a figure. She said she was unable to give me a sum, only to say I had paid 45 payments of £55 approx of PPI. I am shocked at how simple it was. the call was less than 5 mins. I'm not celebrating until I see it in black and white. does this mean I will get back 45 x £55.00 = £2475 or Is there any added interest? Many thanks for giving me the confidence to claim.

Hi all i m looking for some advise please about ppi on a credit card .
I have claimed my ppi back on a card i had with yorkshire bank/ clydesdale bank from 1995 until i closed it down in 2010 , i was turned down by the bank and sent it to FOS.
Last week i found out from fos they had advised clydesdale to up hold my claim , wonderful news however they are only going back to 2000 as they claim they have no statements before that date , i have no paperwork to show any premiums payed.
Has anyone had any success claiming ppi when the bank says they have no statements
? Any help would be appeciated, this would be my first success with FOS thanks to this wonderful site
    Thanks Dave
  • Letter from natwest saying I have paid £583 in ppi on loans dating back to 2000. I wasn't clear on ppi at the time so what do I state as my mis sell reason and how do I claim interest? Any help gratefully received! Was inspired to claim by the great people on here!
