Anyone know how long Barclays take to pay out. I am a Barclays account holder and sent my agreement on Monday 18 May which they received on the 21st. All they said was it would be done ASAP and credited direct to my account.0

Got letter from Nationwide today after 6 weeks of waiting to say they are not upholding our complaint to a loan we got in 2004.
They gave endless reasons re how my husband was suitable for the PPI cover however this was not the basis of our argument. We knew he would have been suitable but did not want it in the first place... they did not seem to address this issue, just seemed like a standard letter with a few of our personal details added in.
Anyway, just written a long letter back to them but not holding my breath, feel deflated now. We will wait and see.!!:(0 -

Can't really have a regulator of a regulator! However, I do agree that users of the service deserve better than waiting for endless months.
The complaint is put in just as you would with a bank etc, the op has not received the service they would expect, a lame excuse re the member of staff dealing with the ops claim if you ask me.
From the link I gave
complaints about our service
1. tell the team manager
In the first instance, please tell the member of staff you are dealing with – or their team manager – if you are unhappy with the level of service we have provided. You can do this either by phone – or in writing.
The team manager will try to put right – as quickly as possible – anything we have done wrong. Usually things can be sorted out straight away at this stage.
2. raise your concerns with one of our senior managers
If a team manager hasn't been able to sort out your complaint about the service we have provided, you can ask one of our senior managers to look into your concerns. The member of staff you are dealing with will tell you how to do this – if you want to take the complaint further.
The senior manager will respond within 20 working days. If we need more time, we will let you know and explain why.
Where relevant, we will tell you how we will put things right – and how we plan to make sure the mistakes do not happen again.
what to do if you are still not happy – the independent assessor
If we have responded to your complaint about the level of service we have provided, but you’re still not happy, you can contact the independent assessor, Linda Costelloe Baker OBE0 -
everyone seems to be very helpful and patient.

Was this PPI paid back in the Loan monthly payment and not by a payment separate to the Loan?, if it was then this is Single Premium PPI and this is the reason for mis sell that you use, this was a loan on the loan paid to term end with interest, if you cancelled the PPI they would have given you a pro rata rebate of the PPI and the remaining PPI is still on the loan to term end.
If you settled this loan early then, as above you, would have a pro rata rebate and you would have paid back the remaining PPI in with the settlement figure.0 -
Have a successful claim with Natwest (£3,105.43) upheld and today Natwest put into my current account £2,128.92.
The Offer was:
Total Refund of PPI Premium and associated interest paid to date
= £2,128.92
Net interest = £976.51
Total offer £3,105.43
My question is for anyone who has had a pay out from Natwest and is it normal for them to pay the Refund and Interest separately.
Many thanks and well done all successes:T:T:T:T:T:T0 -

Nat West put mine in separately and,if I remember, the interest and the tax due were entered on my bank statement. NatWest pay net interest.0 -
