Hi
That is my point all the discussion about ticked boxes verbal agreements ect when the ppi does become invalid you get no confirmation that it has stopped0 -

so it makes it sound like this is just for the PPI,0 -

Thanks, they don't make the wording on these things very clear to understand.
off to the bank to deposit my cheque first thing monday then.:D

No body has proof regarding mis-sold ppi, even bank has not given any proof regarding my complains.
You don't have positive proof that the Bank mis-sold you the insurance, you have simply made verbal accusations that the Bank have rejected.
FOS may treat your case differently, or it may not. I'm just making you aware that you face a bit of as uphill battle (as well as a very long wait).0 -
I'd just like to say thanks to everyone on this site for your input it encouraged me to write to the halifax and i've just received a letter this morning to say they are awarding me £5640.77. I'm over the moon!!! :rotfl::rotfl::j0

Its completly unbelieveable, all my geniune complained (Barclays Loan, Barclaycard Visa and Barclaycard Master ) were not upheld and i applied in first week of March 2012. Mostly reasons were:
1. It was not mentioned by Sales Advisor that it is optional.
2. Was pressurised by sales advisor to take out policy without explaining terms and conditions or exclusions.
They usually took 10 weeks to send final respons and told to that you can forward to FOS if you want.
Its completly rudioculous they just complete the 8 + weeks time and send refused letters without taking serious.
Should i write them again to reconsider and guess they are not taking serious complains, or should i forward to FOS.
The Barclays loan was Single premium PPI, a loan on the loan that you paid to term end with interest, write back to them and reject the reasons for them not upholding this loan due to the fact it was Single Premium PPI and if they do not look at your complaint again you will take this to FOS.
With the Credit card PPI, write back and reject the reasons they will not uphold, reiterate the reasons you gave for mis sell and ask them to look at your claim again and provide you with proof that you were not mis sold this PPI for them to have rejected your complaint.0 -
I have mentioned about reasons that advisor did not mention that it was optional or not. 2. was forced to take the ppi policy. 3. terms and condition or exclutions were not explained properly.0

Hi there i wonder if anyone here can help. I have gone through the whole process of reclaiming PPI through Emcas and was awarded the money that was owed to us. Although, they are now asking for 30% for winning the case but what they said was included in winning the case, they did not do and the whole case was between myself and the bank, all they did was sent 1 letter to the bank and now asking for 30% of the reclaim.
Is there anyway i can get around either not paying them or limiting the payment to them?
Baring in mind I have been in touch with emcas explaining why we shouldn't pay this money and they still say we have to pay it.
Please help if anyone can
Cheers guys0 -

You'll have to pay.:(0 -
Hi everybody, just to let you know that Lloyds (whose local branch I went into and they faxed the details through to the PPI section - I did nothing), have offered and paid me £1200, on a loan I took out in 1997, for which I had no paperwork.
Don't give-up!
(I wasn't going to bother claiming, but I ended-up on this site, - indirectly - due to a section 75 claim, which is still ongoing, so I thought, why not, I've nothing to lose and I am now £1200 better off.)0
