Hi everyone, has anyone had any luck with Barclaycard. They are about 5 weeks over the 8 weeks I called them and they said they were waiting for information they said they had requested all of the statements and received them but they were still waiting for the original application form? Anyone else in the same position.0

I'm sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place, but this is the first time I have used this forum!!
Could anyone please help with my question:-
After just writing one letter downloaded from this website 7 weeks ago, we have just received an offer of £15,713.41 :j from RBS regarding our Mint credit card which we have been paying PPI for many years (probably since the mid 1990's).
We have a balance on the card of just over £2,000.00 (the card has a £10,000.00 credit limit). They said they will clear the balance on the card, but haven't said how they will return the remainder.
We have returned the form to RBS and said we will except the offer made to us and have requested they return the rest to us either by cheque or depositing directly into the bank.
Also they said that interest will be paid less the tax, but they haven't given a breakdown of the interest so we are not sure if the interest has even been added to the offer figure. Has anyone got any comments on this please?
They said in their offer that they will endeavour to settle our claim within 28 working days, but I have heard it sometimes takes a lot longer!
Thanks for any helpful comments please!0 -
Just a cheeky update on my Lloyds PPI Claim, filed the claim for mis-sold PPI on a loan when I was in the armed forces, it was frontloaded and I didnt actually know I had it. Filed the complaint on 14th march, quick phone call today and a Cheeky little £2519 coming my way, lets see how long the cheque takes....:D
I found politely phoning Lloyds every 3-4 days seemed to work wonders, I was always polite and explained was just seeing how claim was going.
Total reclaimed is just over £4K now, time to take the wife and boy on holiday...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Shirley

Hi
Just a quck question.
is the interest calculated from the start of the PPI to the end or to the day they pay out.
I had PPI on my flexiloan from 200 - 2006...so will the interest be for the 6 years or till the day they pay out 12 years?
Cheers

I've just phoned MBNA to be told that a letter has been sent out rejecting my claim because I had ticked the box. I asked them if they had a copy of a letter from HMRC confirming I had been self-employed since 1990 and they said it wasn't scanned on the system - that actually was the basis of my claim. The person I spoke to is going to ring me back either today or tomorrow....
To be fair, they have been quite prompt so far.0 -

Yay we are on a roll, second response recieved today and Black Horse are upholding hubbys complaint, another £1336 thankyou very much.
I cant stress how stress free this has been. No longer than 30 minutes to do the FOS questionnaire and the price of a stamp, only wish we had done this sooner.
Still awaiting replies from Natwest, Egg and Barclays. Fingers crossed our success continues:T0 -

I've gone through all the letter writing and form filling, sent copies of my agreement etc. Welcome Finance have written back and told me I have to claim the money back from Safestyle UK as they're the ones who sold me the finance in the first place??? How can Safestyle be liable when it's Welcome Finance who have received the money I paid?
Hoping someone can advise
Hi there and welcome
They are correct, whoever set up and sold you the policy are the ones responsible, despite the lender taking the money and the main of the paperwork will also be that of the lenders too.
So I would now write to the Safestyle and make a complaint to them, good luck with this.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
Chase them up, or ask your local MP to do so on your behalf, it may help them deal with it quicker for you.
Fingers crossed.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
