    Hi
    Just a quck question.
is the interest calculated from the start of the PPI to the end or to the day they pay out.
I had PPI on my flexiloan from 200 - 2006...so will the interest be for the 6 years or till the day they pay out 12 years?

    Cheers

    Paul

The 8% is calculated from the start of the loan to the date they pay this redress, the 8% is on a decreasing scale so the nearer you get to redress date, the lower the 8% gets.
The 8% is taxable if you are a taxpayer, if the bank do not take this tax off the 8% redress you will have to contact HMRC to pay this.

The interest on the PPI amount is included in the PPI they are refunding you for the full redress.

Can it be possible for me to still go ahead with a claim and if so how is best way to go about it . any advice would be most gratefully recieved

You need to request a Sar

Enclose £10 and ask for all info they hold on you, give as much info as you can so they can find the accounts, Dob address etc.
I know that Citi were the Associates but you say "Associates finance" it could be a different company.

Hi every one, I had a Lloyds TSB credit card from1998 to 2007. Now, I am not sure I had PPI or not because I don't have any paper work. So I want to get SAR from lloyds but don't know where to send. Can anyone help me providing correct address. Many thanks.
You could take it into a Lloyds branch and put DSAR request, they will pass it on.

Someone who knows the correct address may post for you also.

how far can a ppi claim go back? is 2002 too far with a car finance loan and dies this qualify?
    thanks

If you put a claim in send it to the dealer you bought the car from as they sold you the loan and PPI, If you got the loan from a bank and then went and bought the car then the claim goes to the bank.

I've attempted to reclaim PPI back for a loan I had with welcome finance. I've gone through all the letter writing and form filling, sent copies of my agreement etc. Welcome Finance have written back and told me I have to claim the money back from Safestyle UK as they're the ones who sold me the finance in the first place??? How can Safestyle be liable when it's Welcome Finance who have received the money I paid?
    Hoping someone can advise

I am afraid this is the case, you go to the whoever sold you the loan and PPI, in your case Safestyle.

Thank you so much to MSE team. Wrote off to Sainsburys about a loan my wife I took out with them circa 2005 and which was repaid which we were clearly misold PPI.

Acknowledgement letter on 23rd March...letter today with offer of £4974. Ecstatic!

Just realised we took out an earlier loan with the same lender, same modus operandi re PPI but paid off in 2002. I have lodged a complaint over the phone....is this too early and is this a chance that this will get batted back?

    Keep up the good work

Some on this site have won mis sell with loans from the 90s, if you were mis sold they will redress, if they reject they will tell you why, fingers crossed.

    Hi

New to the forum so thank you in advance for any advice!

I received an offer letter on 17th April for mis sold PPI from my Lloyds tsb credit card " as our final response we are offering you a payment of £4,707.83 to bring your complaint to a conclusion."

To say i am happy is an under statement, but to be honest bit reluctant to believe it until it is on my account!

The details on the letter state that to contact them only if i do not wish to accept the offer. They then state the money will be paid within 28 days to my current account (they state the details).
    Question i have is
    1) i have a credit card with lloyds still given that they have stated they are paying the money into the current account am i safe to assume they will not automatically pay some of it towards the balance of my CC?
    2) How achievable is the 28 days target? any experience anyone, seems to be very mixed!

Any advice and to be honest reassurance would be much appreciated xx

Just over £10,000 offer from Barclaycard today. OH made redundant the first time 3 years ago , guess what ?.. PPI didn,t cover redundancy ..
Still waiting to hear from Capital One but their day is coming,
  • Trust me no one is more scared of forms than me but after a Bank Manager friend nagged me for over a year to submit the template letter on this site I finally plucked up courage and did it. The form was surprisingly easy to fill in as I really hadn't got much information on past loans and was hoping for maybe £3000. You could have knocked me over with a wet kipper when I received over £9000 about 7 weeks later from Barclays!

I was desperate for a new car as mine was over 11 years and had no way of affording another one. Now I'm driving around in my new shiny baby! :jAll I can say is don't be scared, they owe it to you and if I can do it anyone can!

I've photocopied loads of forms and am confident I'm going to have some very happy friends!

    I love you Martin:T
