Hi all,
I wrote a few days ago about awaiting cheques for my claim. Yesterday i received 3 cheques totalling £1010.00. Which was great however the upholding letter stated to bring my claim to a conclusion i would be receiving 4 cheques totalling £1990.00. So cheque no.4 worth £980 has not been received does anyone know of this sort of thing happening before? Going to give them a ring in the morning.
Thanks again,0 -

Well done on your success!
In my opinion, yes that is correct, it looks as if they have debited the tax, then you receive the remaining after that.
If you contact them directly, they should confirm this to you.
Well done!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
I would contact them by say 28 days from accepting the offer, if you've not received your money.
Good luck and well done!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Quick update - my rejection letter actually mis-quoted me and stated at the end of the letter that if I had anything to add to contact them within 28 days. Sent letter off recorded delivery a week ago clearing this up and clearly outlining my reasons for PPI mis-selling so just need to wait again now.
As I've given them more info how long do they have to reply? Does the 8 weeks start all over again?Success so far:
Bank charges refund plus interest: over £6000 :j
Mortgage PPI refund plus interest: over £9000 :j

Just thought I would update people as in to where I am with my claim foor PPI against HSBC. Started claim and received initial letter from HSBC last week in March. Had a letter dated 17th April saying that they will update me after 4 weeks and then to respond in full within 8 weeks. Problem: I think I may have got a little confused somewhere along the line., as HSBC stated in the letter that all the information I sent them regarding my claim apparently do not relate to Payment Protection Insurance but to their Lifechoices Policies. I have 3 lifechoice policies set up on my loan that I did not ask for, accident and sickness, unemployment and the third for decreasing trauma. Cause this is all new to me, I thought this was PPI. I was wrong so it seems I have put in a claim for mis-selling of these policies. So the question I have is what now. Will HSBC just look into this now ? Because I have put in a complaint about this will they tell me whether I actually have PPI on my loan or not. All the information I had I gave them . I am confused it if HSBC confirm that I also have PPI on my account, can I start again and put in claim for mis-selling it? I hope you guys understand this as I am finding it hard getting my head round.0

Hope You don't mind me asking...... What reasons did you give for being mis-sold mortgage ppi?
reason
Did not need it as we had in place other ways of paying the mortgage. They also said that we had to have it from them or no mortgage
We now know that this is not true they should have told us that we could get protection elsewhere if we needed it.
Hope this helps and good luck.0
