Are Halifax still paying out complaints without investigation due to backlogs or have they stopped this now, thanks.

I thought you were in Tenko? :D
All I can tell you is that "some" complaints do seem to be easily upheld.;)

    Hi Lisa

I've not had any dealings with RBS myself, but give them say 28 days (one month) if nothing received by then - chase them up.

    Good luck.

Thanks very much Di - The 28 days isn't up yet .....I am just being impatient as it would be lovely to have this money before I go on holday in a couple of weeks :p:p
  • just got my offer letter emailed to me from lloyds tsb as for 3 weeks they kept telling me over the phone that there has been one sent but never got one. Also on my offer letter it states 28 days for payment letter dated 29th feb 2012 so that means i should have my cheque by 28/03/2012 (as wont pay in my bank as its a joint account?) Not holding my breath after reading stroies on hear. If my cheque isn't in post tommrow what will be best way to deal with it from here?

After 8 weeks waiting on a decision from Barclaycard Egg they have sent me a letter to say they have still not come to a final conclusion and need more time. The letter gives no time line but advises that if I wish I can approach the FOS. Does this sound like they are staking before sending my rejection letter or staling cause my claim will be upheld and they don't want to pay out? The FOS should sort Barclaycard out and insist that they get their act together instead of pushing work in the direction of the FOS. Any suggestions? I have emailed Bob Diamond and David Chan today to tell them of their disgusting service and how they faired against HSBC and Halifax

I too have received the same letter. I assumed it was just the way they deal with things. MBNA paid me a cheque within 4 weeks of me writing just ONE letter.

    A bit of advice please.

Just spoke to BC and asked if there was any news on my complaint, I was told that nothing yet even though they told me I would hear by the 28th March, she told me it was not 8 weeks but 40 working days is that correct?

    Thnks

Just thought I would add some figures for my loans which I have been given redress on from Lloyds TSB:)

Loan 1 - £7000 took out sept 2000. Paid off after 9 months

    Refund of premiums - £174
    Early resettlement difference - £270
    Interest at 8% - £394

    Total paid out: = £839

Loan 2 - previous loan rolled into this loan in April 2001, and increased to £10000. Paid off after a year,

    Refund of premiums - £559
    Early resettlement difference - £307
    Interest at 8% - £691

    Total paid out = £1558

Loan 3 - Rolled into this loan in Sept 2002. No increase in amount. Paid off in Oct 2003.

    Refund of premiums - £422
    Early resettlement difference - £567
    Interest at 8% - £686

    Total paid out = £1676

TOTAL OF ALL THREE = APPROX £4075

    Still waiting for payment....

    Hi Derek3882,

Just saw on the lloyds website stating they are trying to send payments within 28 days, and if you dont receive payment within this time period then you can call 0845 601 2683 and they will try and get payment sorted within 5 working days,

    Hope this helps
