i only get normal sick pay and i do get full redundancy
You have not quantified these. "Normal" sick pay is Statutory Sick Pay, which is quite meagre, though, whilst an employer will not normally have an insurance policy in place to cover employees against redundancy.i have other insurance to cover these payments .
But if you applied on line, the lender would not have known about it.0 -
Hi,
Couple of questions if anyone can help.

Hi amo333
Simply ring the Halifax as I did on this number, 08457 253 519
I did this on the 27th Jan 2012 and all you need to do is give them your name and the account number that you are claiming against and they will ask you the reason you believe you have been miss sold ppi then they will send you a confirmation letter of your complaint (I received this letter within 7 days)
On the 17th Feb 2012 I received a letter from Halifax which stated that they have upheld my complaint and I will receive £4700..:j
Just waiting for my cheque..:)
Good luck with your claim..[/QUOT

I have raised all the paperwork with the FOS and they have declined the complaint for the same reason but told me to pursue the insurance company Allianz which I have done. This has also been denied by the insurance companies so I have gone through the FOS aswell in August 2010. Every few months I get a letter from the FOS saying that they are still looking into my complaint. I have received another letter from the FOS as follows.
"We continue to consider the complex legal arguments involved. I am sorry, this is taking longer than we would like. But it is very important that we investigate thoroughly as we need to decide whether we are legally allowed to look into your concerns about the sale of your policy.
We will continue to keep you updated on our progress and we will write to you again by 30 November 2011."
Has anyone managed to claim against the insurance company vis M&S in the same way?lickoloctupus wrote: »Today I have received a letter from the FOS stating loosely that they are not upholding my claim against either M&S or Allianz on the basis that I signed the form that was sent on both occasions and that although I was covered elsewhere the FOS believes I would not have acted differently. Anyone got any ideas what I can do now. I have been in contact with the FOS and was told that no decision would be made on this for several months until the test case for Project Atlantis had been out through the court. Why have I received this letter if this was the case
The FOS are stating that they recommend my complaint should not be upheld as although there were shortcomings in the way that Allianz sold the policy to me they are not persuaded that I would have acted differently and would have taken the policy anyway...My defence was that the documentation was filled in by a salesperson in the store and I was told that I should take it out on the charge card and when I took the personal reserve out I took it out as I had done previously. Is there anything I can now do or say to help my case.I would appreciate any advice on this in any way as this is a substantial amount of money involved.0 -
I have just rang Halifax to add to my misseling of PPI ,that my policy was front loaded . When i phoned my original claim in in Jan this year i didnt complain about this as i wasnt sure if it was FL. I had a few loans with them always one refinancing the other. While i was on i asked if they had an update , she said they were still investigating them. They do have a few more weeks before i get reply. Just seems from some stories on here some people have a quick turnaround matter of 3 weeks. No such luck for me .Well will have to be patient. Good Luck too all who have been Successful though, and those who are still waiting like me. I am an addict to this forum now . It is so helpfull & encouraging. Well thats my rant for the day.0

The reason my ppi claim on my credit card was upheld is due to me being self employed for over 20 years
The calculations of my claim are as follows.
This is a final response from the Halifax.
Refund of premiums =£1,721.45
Refund of interest =£2,384.56
Interest at 8% =£686.49
Total =£4,792.500 -
Hi everyone, Quick update on my ppi claim against HSBC, sent questionarre of on 14th feb 2012, had no response or even acknowledgement letter so i emailed the ceo on 26th feb to say i had not heard anything from them, recieved a letter today stating they are looking into my claim due to my email and they have also included all 3 of my policy numbers when i only had sent one of on my questionaire as i didnt realise i had taken any ppi out on the other loans i had with them! i did however ring them yesterday and the lady on the phone said there was a offer letter in the post so we will see what arrives tomorrow, i dont think i will get thousands back but every little helps!!0

couls someone also help me understand how they are calculating these ppi claims? i understand you get the money back you paid in, do you also get the apr that it was set at and 8% interest? if so is that just calculated at the length of time you had your loan? or is it calculated up to today?0
