PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

After sending off the template letter from this website, I had a response from A&L offering me my PPI back, plus interest - a total of £1,500!! I sent off the form at the start of Feb saying I was accepting the offer but I'm still waiting for the cheque to come through!!

Can anyone else who has got the money back from A&L let me know how long they had to wait for the cheque after accepting the offer? I just want to check before I go ringing them up!

Hi mine took 6 weeks but when they paid it back they paid me cumulative interest rather than simple so I was more than happy.:D

I wrote to Alliance & Leicester on 17th Jan 09 using your template requesting full refund of the PPi I had been sold plus 8% interest. I received acknowledgment within an wek and a further letter 4 weeks later saying it was been investigated.
I received a letter on 3rd March 09 from Alliance and Leicester stating that
'we have not been able to establish whether you were provided with sufficient details to allow you to make an informed decision'.
I have been offered a full refund of £345.50 plus £28.78 interest.

So pleased now just waiting for a decision about PPI on my Littlewoods account.

Has anybody has any success with claiming back PPI from Littlewiids/Home Shopping. I have paid in more PPI than I actually owe it's a rip off and a joke.
