  • Hi there, just wanted to share that Egg have coughed up 1167.43 which includes interest. They sold me PPI even though I was self-employed. It's been deducted from my loan so I am very happy. Thanks Martin, you're a star!

For the cost of 3 stamps and using the letters on this fantastic website i successfully reclaimed mis sold ppi on my Egg credit card for £1800 and on my MBNA virgin credit card of £2900. this was completely due to seeing martyn on gmtv and even though i didnt think it would work, i tried it and in december i sent off my letters and waited, got a reply to say it was being investigated, then got a final settlement on egg which i accepted and then a phone call from mbna yesterday saying they will pay the premiumns back and interest on them totaling £2900.

i am VERY happy and would never have done this if it hadnt been for this site.
I encourage you all to look and get writing. I am going to check some other loans to see if i can reclaim on them now.!
    thanks

  • Hi,
I'm new to this website so please forgive me if this post is in the wrong place.

I used to have a loan account with Barclays, I can't remember how much the loan was for or how much PPI I paid on it, and no longer have any paperwork but I did pay a settlement on the loan in 2004 when I left the bank. In all honesty, I had completly forgotten about the loan and reclaiming any PPI had never occurred to me.

Anyway, I arrived home from work today to find a letter from Barclays and a cheque for £246.46. The letter said that my account wasn't closed down correctly and that they have reviewed my account and found that a credit balance of £74.25 was created during the settlement process, they have returned this to me along with a PPI refund of £135.03 and a gesture of goodwill of £37.18. I can only assume that they are preempting any claim from me by sending me this amount which I am very happy to recieve.

Because of this I have looked through more recent paperwork and found that I have paid more PPI to RBS in a single payment policy and will be following the advice here and seek to reclaim.
