I wrote to Egg a couple of months ago, after hearing Martin's advice for reclaiming missold PPI - It was made quite clear to me that without the insurance I would not get the loan.
I used Martin's template letter, after about 4 weeks they wrote back to say they were looking into it. Three weeks after I get a letter saying yes I was due a refund - over £2500, which has effectively cleared my loan 9 months early. Thanks Martin I cannot believe they paid out. I would suggest anyone with a concern take the time to fill out the simple template letter. Brilliant and thanks again Martin and his team. good luck to everyone else

Wow, well done and Congratulations :T  :T , great work.

    Hi there

Well its great you've an offer, so well done there.:T

However, do you know what the amounts may have been?

If you do have these, please freel free to post them on the discussion thread next to this one and I'm sure they will get looked at for you.;)

Other than that, if your not time limited on letting them know, ask them to send you a breakdown on the calculations of this within the next few days.;)

    FINALLY A SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!

I'm delighted to report at last my own success with reclaiming. I started a reclaiming process with a Lloyds Tsb loan for miss-sold ppi just over a year ago. After all the fob off letters I took it to the FOS last july and it got to an adjudicator in january this year. The adjudicator was brilliant and upheld my claim. However Lloyds disputed this and offered around £300 as a goodwill gesture which I refused. The adjudicator relayed my decision not to accept to Lloyds and it was due for referral to an ombudsman. However, this morning I have recieved a letter from the FOS saying that after further review Lloyds have decided to refund in full as advised by the FOS. Needless to say I am absolutely delighted. The amount will be around £2100.

HUGE thanks to Martin and his team, Also all other reclaimers on here who are very helpful. But I must thank the FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN SERVICE who have been absolutely fantastic and who despite being absolutely snowed under with claims have been very helpful, courteous and efficient.

WELL DONE TO EVERYONE ELSE WHO HAVE HAD SUCCESS ALSO.

Thanks Di, well done on your success too. That's fantastic news.

Do you know if this money will be paid direct to me or will it have to come off my existing loan?

    Hi hun

    And thanks.

I think these vary, as my credit card was settled I have been told it will be paid directly to me, however in active cases this may come off the amount of loan, but if not in arrears I am sure you can request for this to be paid directly to you.;) X

thanks Di. I do have around £600 in arrears as I have been paying a reduced amount. So I was expecting them to take that out of it but hoping to get the rest back in a cash payment. but I don't know whether they will do this.

I think that is what will happen then, I may be wrong here but if there are arrears I am sure they will do this and the remainder paid directly back to you, you could check with the FOS with this who dealt with your complaint, they should be able to find this out for you from the company.;) X
