It was for a number of personal loans, I was told my application would be unsuccessful unless I took out the PPI

Good luck with your claim
• I took out a loan over the internet in November 2005 for £11,500 with Tesco Finance and put in a claim for PPI refund in November 2011.

Had a reply today offering me a refund of £2456.28 on that loan and also £1014.41 which I took out in October 2003 (I had forgotten about that one and not claimed)

Total offer of £3470.79
• well done, I sent a letter to halifax end of november 2011, i phoned them on tuesday for an update they said i wont no anything before the 1st of march, it's strange some people dont have to wait so long, just my bloody luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Santander 0% £1,529.94
Sainsbury's 0% £4,371.31
Total 0% £5,901.25
AIM: Pay off debt & simultaneously save for deposit to buy a house by Oct 2020.

• I just got an offer of £11,968.99 from HSBC after only 6 weeks of personally applying to reclaim my PPI. it was so easy, thanks to Martin :money::j:beer::rotfl::T:D
• Brilliant news, well done!
• I wrote to Halifax on 26 November 2011 enclosing a cheque for £2 and requesting a copy of the terms and conditions that were applicable to the agreement on for the loan I took out on 17 February 1999. I then sent a reminder on 9 January enclosing a copy of the original letter, . The cheque was cashed before end November. However I am still waiting for a reply to either letter.:(

My next step will be to send a recorded delivery letter giving them 2 weeks to respond before I contact the Ombudsman. Does that seem like a good plan?

• I had a letter from Tesco bank saying that that they would replay my PPI and they sent me a cheque for £1700, paid it into the bank and then received it back from the bank today saying it had been stopped !!!!!!!!!!
