    Hi

Just wanted to post my experience on claiming back PPI, wrote to Nationwide at the beginning of November, within 4 weeks they agreed I had been missold PPI on my loan and am currently awaiting a cheque for £2600. Thought I would try my luck with MBNA as I have had their card for over 10 years and always had PPI (Just didnt think to cancel it) within two weeks they held their hands up and offered me a cheque for a whooping £8,700. Best Christmas present we could get.

Im now going to work through all previous storecards etc.

Just a little bit of advice, I had no information to provide them apart from account numbers, I didnt bother contacting them for a list of charges etc so dont be put off if you dont have this information - it cost me the price of recorded delivery and look what happened.

Also I had made a PPI claim on my MBNA credit card (following the birth of my son) and this didnt hamper the claim, they just deducted what I was awarded at the time from my final payout

I ummed and ahhed over doing this for months and decided to take a punt, Im so glad I did and Im spreading the word as much as I can!

    Good Luck!:j
  • This will make you chuckle!! I rang Lloyds PPI claim line again yesterday to see where my refund was, after all it's been escalated 3 times, surely that would do the trick. After 10 minutes of being given the usual script of backlog, no timescale, it's with our admin/refund/calculation/review (delete as appropriate) team, I asked to speak to a Manager or Supervisor, after some time of listening to the dreadful hold music, the SAME woman came back on the phone and said she was a manager and read the same script as before!!!!

Am I genuinely missing something, I've had my letter early in November upholding my claim and setting out refund amount (5,694) and saying that they were going to pay this as priority(which obviously differs from my idea of priority), I don't think there should be any reason why this money isn't forthcoming, or is there another form or letter I should have received, which LLoyds have forgotten to mention. I did get told yesterday that they were looking into why it hadn't been paid - I don't care why it hasn't been, I simply want to know when it will be!!!! Any similar experiences or advice would be much appreciated.

I would submit a county court order for payment as they have admitted they are paying. They will also have to pay costs then as well.

I did think about that, but wondered how much longer that will delay the payment! Grrrr, I did ask to speak the team that allegedly dealing with my claim, apparently they don't have phones - god help them if there's an accident!!!

I was orignally refused a ppi refund about 4 years ago. I never took my complaint further. Then after reading that if you had previously been refused you could apply again i wrote my letter in October to lloyds. After not hearing anything for 3 weeks i phoned them up where i was advised thye'd never received my claim.
It was processed over the phone for me that day.
Then on Monday i received £2300 in my bank account. Two days later i received a letter to say they have honoured my ppi refund.

    Just in time for christmas.

    Hope everyone else has sucess.
  • Hi,
Would like like to report a success. I wrote to Lloyds TSB In October 2011, received a reply on 20th October to say that they were investigating my complaint. Checked my bank on Monday to find £183.38 extra in my account. Received a letter to today to say that my claim had been upheld and that they would be sending me my refund! Not a great deal of money, however, it was missold to me so I am very pleased with the outcome. We also wrote to Lloyds TSB at the same time regarding my husbands complaint (which is for significantly more money) and haven't heard anything. Good luck to all waiting on monies. Many thanks to this forum and the wonderful advice given, that gave me the confidence to complain. xx
    Merry Christmas
  • Wishing good luck to everyone waiting. I am still waiting for the cheques from First Plus (been 8 weeks now) so have emailed them. I have had part of the payment back as it will be in 3 parts as I had advances on the original loan.

However did have good news this morning from Halifax about an old credit card I had a while ago. Thought I would only get about £1,800 back if I was lucky as didn't have many statements to refer to but they have made me an offer of £3,000 and already paid into my account.

Hope we all receive our cheques soon.

Hi just to update: Have about 21 claims on the go:D.
RBS: Sent FOS form on 5th Oct and they paid out yesterday (£6k)
RBS (brother's): Sent FOS form off 13th Oct and they've offered £700 for one loan - just waiting on another
Barclaycard: Sent FOS form on 13th Oct and they've offered full refund plus interest of £1300 - which we've accepted.
Halifax cc: Sent form 19th Oct and they offered £390 (which we accepted) and chq arrived next day! (14th Dec).

So all in all some fairly quick responses!
