Hi Jodie. I had the same for my PPI reclaim with Ciicard, now OPUS. They wrote after about a month asking for it back, I queried it to make sure it was legit, then made them wait for a few weeks. The letter they sent said I was legally required to return it.

I'd be really pleased if Citi, now OPUS, paid me once! LOL.

    Well,

Thus far I have had a rejection from Santander, never had PPI with MBNA , rejection from Egg and had a little win of £10.34 with Santander.

RBS have let me know of a fourth "something" i didnt even remember and Cahoot are hardly even responding.

Just got 4 x RBS, 1 x Northern Rock and 1 x Cahoot to go , really hope I get a nice substantial win !! Grrrr

Quick question, Egg rejected on the lines of "ticked box" "unadvised" "fully aware" etc etc , I challenged this and got a final "NO".

Has anyone had the same fob off response and challenged it and won? If so could they post a copy of there response to egg (personal info removed of course)

I got the card in 2000 and have read there screens may have been opt out rather than in at that point?

On the other hand, my good lady just got a WIN of £124 from Capital one. Nice

Oh, one more thing, The win of £124 is for a card with a £160 balance approximately, now are we still liable for tax of the 8% element if the "WIN" is deducted from a debit balance?

Its only £6 to pay so no dramas but just wondered. Thanks all and Mery Xmas!!

  •:mad:I am totally ppied off now with barclays had two claims in that were supposed to be resolved by the middle of november 40 working days were up last week countless numbers of emails to robert diamond and no further forward ,if this were us we would be given a default sent to court and given a ccj ,why is nobody giving these banks a good kick up the bum,its ok taking it to fos but thats going to take even longer.
  • Just to give hope to those still awaiting payments or wondering whether to give it a go, here is a quick run down of my successful PPI claim with Natwest.

The PPI was mis-sold by being "neccessary" for me to get a loan of £17,500 in 2002, the loan was reconsolidated several times over the years and settled a year early in 2008, incurring an early settlement fee.

Not having the original paperwork I sent my £10 for my loan details in late October, had the details back a week later and sent a letter and the questionnaire from this site to the PPI department the first week in November. One week later I got a reply to say it was being investigated and 4 weeks later three letters with separate offers against each consolidation of the loan, ranging from £150 to £8000:j

All signed and sent back recorded delivery at beginning of December and this morning have had full amount of £10, 500 transferred into my account, (this includes the gross interest amounts of just over £650 for the taxman), so £9850 in reality!

We are finally completely debt free with a pot of savings to boot!

On top of this Natwest are also looking at another loan account I had with them in 1998, that I knew nothing about, so we may even get a little more in the New Year, who knows:D, but am very grateful to all on the site and to Martin for giving me the push to send those letters and good luck to all those still waiting!

    Merry Christmas!:j

Me too! I had a payment in August and now I have received another letter with a recalculation figure. I have called them about the additional amount/recalculation and they say that its all due to me!! I have called 3 times now as the letter stated payment within 21 days and that was back in November. Doesnt look like I will get any money before Christmas now, but its something to look forward to.

You can call them as people have suggetsed but its an 0845 number and in total I have been waiting for over 1.5hrs so thats a chunk of the money gone :rotfl:
  • Hi everyone

Just to let you know-update on claims. Sent off to Barclays beginning of October-claim settled a week ago £2500. Santander were super speedy-lodged complaint 30.11.2000-they sent me a letter on 8.12.2011-claim upheld. I am waiting for payment of £3200.
Just waiting for Halifax to come up trumps. Are Halifax quick off the mark or do they dilly dally and ask lots of questions?

    Thanks
  • Hi , I have now thought to get on board with this . I started getting loans out from the age 18 when I got my car , wheels on the buy now pay later , then loans with the yorkshire bank , then AA loans , ive had numerous credit cards and racked up over 25k in loans ,so must be owed a lot from someone ?.

Do I do this alone or is it better to trust in a company to do it for me ?

How do I remember all the details/companies/loans/amounts/dates ? what if I havent got these to hand ? can I they be accessed off credit experian? (i used to be a member of) .

Any help would be great , its a minefield out there and theres sooo many companies who want from 15% to over 50% of your money when you use them?

    Regards
