    Hi everyone

Just wanted to report a success story. Back in May 2011 I was discussing with my partner that she should claim for her PPI she has with Paragon that was arranged by loans.co.uk As as financial consultant I looked at this cover in detail and how it was sold. She has very good sick pay at work and this cover is was a waste of time and money and very expensive over £65 per month !!! She said 'oh just leave it' but when she took this loan out her financial position was not too good. Basically after about 10 letters - be prepared to stick it out !! They claim they never received a letter (even though it was sent recorded) dismissed the claim initially as they said they had no information etc etc . Basically in my opinion they loans.co.uk just 'padded' me off and did not really want to know. I do understand that this may well be enough to put people off. Keep going, ensuring you take copies of everything and send recorded delivery too. Eventually and quite rightly she will get a refund now (December 2011), without going to the ombudsman of £15,500. She can now have a more comprehensive insurance to cover her income, not that rubbish that was 'sold' to her.
    Don't give up

    All the best.

I cannot believe all your posts went unanswered,i know that these threads are moving very fast at the moment, but that is no excuse for you getting no response at all.
I hope if you need any help in the future you will come back,we do try our best, but sadly on this occasion we have failed miserably.

  • Put in a claim with Barclaycard back in August 2011 .. received numerous letters stating they were still investigating and would get back to me by a certain date ... well a couple of weeks had passed and i thought i'd give them a ring yesterday to see what the current status is ..

Anyway they told me my claim was successful and it is currently with another department who deals with the calculations ..and i should hear from them soon ...

Happy that they have deemed the claim successful and if the calculation covers what i have outstanding on my credit card and its cleared ..then i will be debt free :T anything over will be a nice Christmas bonus

and of course none of this could have been done without the help offered here .. :T
