  • Have sent away a claim to RBS for PPI on a cc. Received a letter today saying they have received complaint and they would reply within 16 weeks. Does anyone know if the banks have been given another extension (from 12-16 weeks) for dealing with complaints. I have already received a letter from them about a loan reclaim and letter I got back a couple of weeks ago was saying they had the 12wks.

Also am going to claim for a Sainsburys cc. Can anyone tell me if it is the same address as for Sainsburys loan -Bank of Scotland PO Box 761 Leeds, West Yorkshire LS1 9JF

Hi sams dad, I'm taking it that this is a credit card complaint and if so the reason the 8% standard interest figure is as low as it is, can be due to the fact that you only get 8% interest on the occasions that the card is in credit. To get a high amount of 8% interest back you basically have to pay the card off in full every month, religiously. Hope this explains. Congratulation on the success :T

Do you mean pay the minimum so leaves a larger balance on the card?

    Hi all,

Does anyone know how long it has been taking Lloyds TSB to get back to you following initial claim ? Heard nothing in 10 weeks since contacting them.
Good luck and congrats to all those successful.

depending on when it went into them, they have 12 weeks or 16 weeks ;)
but you should have had acknowledgment of your complaint within the 1st 14 days :o

You've had me questioning myself for the last half hour :rotfl:

If the removal of PPI and any associated interest puts the card into credit for any period, then you get 8% standard interest for that period.
    That's how I understand it
