    Hello All,

Today I received a bulky PPI claim pack from RBS (Nat West).

In there was an offer on 3 loans £4,200, £4,500 and £750, £9500 in total !!! Wow, I’m still shaking.

I’m going to send off my acceptance forms tonight and wait for the money (which is mostly going towards paying off my debts) to come. I’ll post up all the detail when it arrives.

Just a word to those who are lurking and reading, if you think you have claim, make it, download and fill in the template and send it in, its easy. If you are unsure get a friend to help, stay clear of claims management companies, they do very little and they will take a lot of your money.

    Hi all,

This is my first time posting on this site so please bear with me. ;)

I am trying to claim back PPI from a EGG credit card which is now closed. I sent off the template letter ( from Martin's website) asking for a copy of the credit agreement. Egg replied stating that as the account is now closed they have no legal obligation to provide me with the credit agreement. I tried calling them but they have now been taken over by Barclays and I was told that my credit card details were not transfered over and as a result they cannot find my account, even though I have given them the credit card account no and they (Egg) wrote back quoting the same account number and gave me a reference number. Can anyone please advise how I should proceed next any advice will be gratefully recevied.

    Cheers :)
The agreement will not help you,ppi was often added when you phoned to activate the card.
Do you have any statements that show you paid ppi? this will help a claim for mis sell.
Look here for reasons for mis sell
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-credit-card-insurance#step2
If any/all apply to you then put a claim in,all you need are the reasons for mis sell and your credit card number, see what they come back with.

Last week got offered £2469 from RBS cc and a rejection from Black Horse which I shall be FOS'ing this weekend.

Awaiting replies from 3 x Lloyds tsb loans which are due in the next week.

Good luck to everyone waiting and thanks for all the advice on here, has helped me offer support to other people at work who have been unsure about making claims.

  • Hi, I sent a letter to DFS in October to claim for mis-sold ppi on a suite we got in 1999 (paid of in 2002). We could not find our original paperwork but I found some financial information I'd saved on an excel spreadsheet from 2002 which showed the monthly instalments for the suite and that it was paid off in June 2002. I know we definately had ppi on it as when we replaced our suite about 4 years ago we told the salesman we did not want ppi this time. We did not believe until recently that the earlier ppi was not suitable for us but thought it was compulsory. We have had a letter back from DFS advising that they cannot find any details of our order and asking for further info (which we do not have). How can we proceed with this to get a desirable outcome? I think we paid the finance to GE Capital. Thanks in anticipation. Diane

Sorry for the delay - just out of hospital today.

BUT.......success on Monday. Welcome Finance paid us £6,090.92.

    Started claim on October 14th.

Thanks for all the advice everyone - you're all amazing!

    Hi Hiedi

I took out a personal loan with welcome finance in 2008 for £750 over 2 years (stupid i know), then topped up again for a £3,000 loan and then a car loan for £6,000. I have worked out the total I would of paid back would be in the range of £17,000, so fingers crossed I do get some good news back just like yours. Congrats. I guess it couldnt come at a better time hey.
