I am absolutely disgusted with lloyds.I live in kent and have family in newcastle on wed a family emergency came up,i rang the ppi line explained i need to get to newcastle and told them the reason. I explained that i didnt have the finances, they rang me back and said the money would be in my account within two days. i rang this morning only to be told that because i had money in my account that it wasnt an emergency.I had £230.40 in my account and i explained that £72.00 was owed to british gas which they have been chasing me for and that £113.00 was for council tax. Which left me £50.00.
They said they have sent out a cheque but wont tell me how much for.I asked how long this would take and they couldnt comment.I was told on the 2/11/11 that a letter was sent to me regarding the re calculations because i have been waiting since 23/08/11 i still havent had said letter so god Knows how long the cheque will take.
Hi
Lloyds are a heartless lot of ******** My elderly mother is due to have major heart surgery in London (I live in North Wales) and I need my money to travel down and stay nearby in London. I have phoned countless times, been told loads of versions of the Lloyds lying fairy tale that I will receive my cheque or BACS shortly, but youve guessed it no such thing, after my first e-mail I was told they could not give me any idea about my payment because of data protection!! I have e-mailed since then to tell them I will take action for the destress caused if mother does not make it through the operation and I cannot be there, but they don't even have the curtesy to answer. I have now gone to my MP so waiting to see what happens. I was told my claim was upheld and offered refund on 22 August, calculations were posted and lost in post 20 September, new calculations sent and recieved 20 October interest calculated until 13 October, nothing since.0 -

Are you actually saying it took only eight and a half weeks from your initial complaint to receiving your money? Amazing! Wonder why some of us have been waiting over 15 months - and yet only this week they told me they are definitely dealing with them in date order. I believe some people have been waiting longer than I have.
Well done and enjoy.
Absolutely delighted
Registered the complaint on the 14/09/11 and all the money(Interest included) has been credited to my account on the 17/11/11.
Can't believe how quick and easy it's been. My only query was that I was expecting them to look at a previous loan we had as they informed me that would be the case but I haven't had any correspondance on that.
My claims were based on my wifes Job as a local authority employee and had this been recognised by the staff at the time then they would have realised that there was no need for the PPI due to her sickness benefits.
I've now got a further 3 claims in against RBS credit cards with the same reasoning.0 -

Did you have the cashback, how much was the ppi total that was added to your loan?.
We need to see if they are giving you the full redress or is this a goodwill gesture.0 -

I had 5 letters regarding loans on the 23/08/11 with the calculations on them totalling £6939
How do they justify keeping hold of our money when there is a family emergency. I even went to the bank to ask them to get in touch with them with a view to them cancelling the cheque and paying it into my account after about 45mins on the phone they couldnt do anything. They couldnt even tell me if the cheque has been sent0
