Can I ask when your loan was taken out? Just trying to work out what I might expect to get. The more I think about how the credit agreement was so misleading, I would have been more than shocked if they hadn't upheld your complaint. Such a mis sell:mad:

    Happy Spending?:)

£10,000 loan taken out in Aug 04, £4,042 PPI front loaded, 6% APR over 7 years, ran to term and was paying just under £60 per month PPI
    My main arguments were
1 PPI was at no time mentioned during application process
2 Pressured into signing in 15 minutes with a courier that you couldn't ask advice from
3 Blank entries on paperwork where PPI figures were meant to be
4 Upfront single premium and mentioned strongly that I had paid 6% APR on it for 7 years

I was very surprised to get the APR back, I think item 4 above may have helped, if you don't get it ask why not ;)
I had quite a bit more to throw at them if they had turned me down

Hope they come up with yours before your due date m8 :)
    Successes
    Sainsbury's/BOS £6,400 Paid :)
    MBNA £3,600 Paid :)

  • claiming on credit card for mis sold PPi with MBNA
    taken out in 2001
    Rejected initially by MBNA
Referred by me to Ombudsman using the templates on this site
letter from Ombudsman saying MBNA writing to me with offer for gesture of goodwill
letter received yesterday offering me full refund of premiums, interest accrued due to increased card balance because of PPi and 8% interest
    TOTAL £6704.
Delighted and so unbelievably grateful to you all on this website for your amazing work.

Second claim in hand against Santander but less hopeful as when card taken out the compay were not covered by the financial regulations so pursuing the underwriters (well the Ombudsman is)

Another cheque arrived this morning, just over £300 for a Halifax Secured Loan, it wasn't a single premium policy it was monthly amount included in the loan, got premiums paid plus 8% interest, cheque received but never did receive an offer letter, but more than covers my calculations, woohoo, one more to go which is a tiny wee ppi policy on my first ever RBS loan, the loan was for £500 over 12 months, and the ppi policy was for £46, i'm gonna be rolling in it, lol

This Halifax one has came in about three weeks before the 12 week decision period, no idea why we've been so lucky that three in less than three weeks, decided and paid.
Thanks to all the competition posters.

I have put this in the main forum but thought I would add my success here. 2 complaints upheld from Lloyds TSB, credit card for £774.67 and loan for £2898.36!! so happy, hopefully it will come before Xmas (but after reading the other posts on here, not holding my breath!) :j
You're so very special, I wish I was special

  • Omg, all I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you to this site. I put a claim in to HSBC expecting to get nowhere or if I did a maximum of £2000, I have just got home to an offer letter of £8,569.67p.

Chuffed is not the word, I'll be debt free and the kids will have a very merry Christmas. I honestly can't stop shaking
