  • Hi
Had a loan with Sainsburys bank that ended almost 6 years ago. I don't have an account number for this. If I send a SAR with just my name, address, DOB will this be enough info for them to supply details? Also is it the same address for credit cards.
    Thanks

If i were you i would ring and ask,you could SAR and wait 40 days,to be told they cannot find you,not sure about the cc address but if you did a SAR you could send both to the complaints department.

You could try phoning them first to see if they are forthcoming with any details

Can I make a complaint regarding PPI?

If you applied for your Sainsbury's Loan before February 2009 you may have a valid complaint regarding Payment Protection Insurance. To discuss this with a colleague please call 08457 25 35 19 and select option 6.
How do I make a claim on my Payment Protection Insurance?

To register a claim on your Payment Protection Insurance policy, please call 0845 602 9101.

    or
Sainsbury’s Bank introduced customers to Bank of Scotland to provide payment protection, therefore please contact:
    Bank of Scotland
    Po Box 761
    Leeds
    West Yorkshire
    LS1 9JF
    Successes

BOS contacted me around two months ago and literally asked me to make a complaint as they thought I had been mis-sold, so I did and they called last week to tell me they will be sending me a cheque for £871....... A bank proactively admitting a mistake... what is the world coming to...........

So anyway, this prompted me to use the ombudsmans complaint form on this website which I completed (use the word version and fill it in on your computer then all you have to do is change the account number for each provider), and I fired it off to all my previous financial providers for cards and a loan.

These were posted Monday this week, and on Thursday Santander telephoned me to tell me that they will be refunding my loan PPI premium plus interest etc., which will be around £1,950.......... one letter, three days, £1,950 refund !!!!!!!

I am really looking forward to hearing from the others as I could literally be owed thousands........... and up to now I have probably been the most sceptical person on the planet about all of this mis-selling stuff

If anyone hasn't claimed or complained yet do it..... it took me 10 minutes to fill in the ombudsmans form, and another 10 minutes to post it.......... its a no brainer in my book!

Even if your not sure, do it today, I'm getting refunds even though I claimed under the PPI cover following an accident...........

Take back from the banks what they have been happy to take from you for years........:rotfl::T:j:beer:
    Les ;)

It should be stated on the offer/calculation letter if it is net or gross. If gross then you have to declare the 8% interest payment to HMRC but not until you have received it

A capital 1 failure I'm afraid and all my own fault:( absolutely convinced that I did application over the phone and felt pressure to go for ppi.
Anyway they've written today ( final decision) to say that they're not upholding as I applied online and clearly chose ppi.
    I suppose that's it now then? :(

On the breakdown it only says 8% taxable interest which was how my Black Horse claim was listed but when I called them they said they had paid it net of tax?
