Well done, I am still waiting for cheque from Bank of Scotland, complained June offer letter received 3rd October nothing since phoned 3 times told no idea when i'll receive cheque, is it worth emailing CEO?

Hi
That is a long time to wait!!!
As on my above post, I mentioned about contacting a local MP, maybe he or she will help and chase this up for you, contact your MP, explain what is what and ask if they will kindly write to the bank on your behalf, and ask your MP to send you copies of all letters sent and received, good luck.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Any joy on your payouts for Halifax customers. Just looking to get a comparision on dates etc. Have sent in my acceptance letter 25th August so they got it 2nd September which was 10 and 1/2 weeks ago now. Any1 got a similar time period or have already been paid??
Emailed and phoned on several occasions but always the same response. When we got our acceptance letters in August, my wife and I both thought great we will save our payout til christmas sure it was 4months away at that stage, how naive of us!!!!
I will be interested in peoples responses.0 -
Morning all
Just to let you all know I have had success!!
I complained at the end of July and Lloyds took 15 and half weeks to respond with a no. I thought about giving up and then thought about it again. I thought 'no, it's my money'!!! I wrote a strong worded appeal letter 10 days ago and on Friday I received two cheques (loan + CC) amounting to £1978!!!!!!
So all of you that are waiting and feel like giving in - please please keep going, you can do this!!!!
Thank you all for your help and support and I wish you all luck with you claims. :beer:According to ABBA apparently it's a rich mans' world . . .:p0 -
I have just received notification of my final claim, so since first trying to claim back PPI in June 2010 I have had the following successes:
Egg £2,400
Mint £6,000
Co-Op £6,000
MBNA/Virgin £9,000
Egg and Co-Op were settled directly but MINT and MBNA went through the FOS.
I can't thank people on here enough and my advice to anybody is don't give up. One case of mine looked a lost cause of a number of occasions due to the shoddy way they tried to fight my claim but the FOS did a sterling job. For the first time in about 28 years I am free of debt. What a feeling that is I can tell you.
Thanks again.0 -
Well done on your win
I am still waiting the BOS told me my cheque would be on its way but no timescale that was 2 weeks ago .
I am gonna ring again cos I had my acceptance form in August and offer letter Sept 5th
Did you keep ringing or emailing the CEO to get your payment if you don't mind me asking
Of course I don't mind. On the day I recieved the offer letter I telephoned the number on it to ask if the money would be a cheque. They said the cash would show up on the credit card and then they would send out the cheque.
After reading the experiances of some of the members on here I thought I was in for a long wait but lo and behold a week later it arrived!
The letter that came with the cheque mentioned the telephone call I had made. Maybe because I accepted the offer it was faster or perhaps I was just lucky. I'm not sure.
The original letter stated if they didn't hear anything from me they would assume I had accepted.
Hope this helps.0 -

Hi
Not had dealings with these myself, just their sister company Lloyds, so I expect they will be as bad as each other and slow on sending out the refunds.
Have you tried contacting them for updates?
Good luck, and hope you get your money soon.

Firstly I do apologise if this has been asked before, but I can't trawl through over 1000 pages to check myself lol!
I've had many credit cards and a few mortgages, and no longer have paperwork or the old credit cards, is tehre anywhere I can write to, and pay a fee if need be, to find out all my old credit lenders?0
