Just a thought. In the unlikely event he had loans with ppi would they pay out for stress?
Ps im in no way making fun of the mans condition, stress is awful, sincerely hope he gets better for himself and the kids etc.
Just wondering.0 -
Hi there, all you need do is request the information that they hold on you, this will cost £10 and hopefully this will help you, that is all a claims co will do for you and then charge you a % of any win, write the request now and let us know how you get on.I have an offer for a Lloyds credit card ppi for just over £500, and you guessed it I am still waiting. I sent off to a few other provider whom I thought i might have had PPi with, with no joy. One bank I believe said it had no record of the account and it was within 6 years but I have no details other than an account number.
I was wondering, does anyone know if there is a company that charges less than the other for PPi reclaim? I feel I have reached a brick wall with this one but wouldn't mind letting a company have a go for a percentage rather than just giving up - I may not even have had PPI on it.
Thanks0 -
Just joined the PPI debate forum, and just wanted to let others know about my case.I sent my claim off to Lloyds TSB for 2No loans in May 2011. Both were upheld by letter with no figures in August 2011. Acceptance sent back to TSB at the begining of September 2011, and as you would expect, I have not received any final sum,let alone payment, and it is now November 2011. It would appear that Lloyds TSB are actioning claims at random, despite what they say on their helpline. Just got to wait I suppose.0

Just thought I'd add a success story.... OH has just received £743 back from Egg, two weeks after first contacting them. Very impressed.
Not so impressed with Natwest, Virgin and Halifax who we've been waiting months for a reply from.0 -

Submitted a barclaycard ppi claim for a card I applied for in 2002. Rang today and was told this was rejected as I ticked the box and I was given information. I honestly can't remember asking for this plus wouldn't be eligible as was only working for 3 months temping and one of the main criteria was to be in employment 12 months prior.
I ask the lady if she could send me a copy of my application. She then said she can't see it on the system. I'm do not satisfied with their response. I've even found me overdraft ppi application stating ibshould sign n return, yet still i have a policy document saying thanks for taking out overdraft protection. Can anyone help me draft an email to tGe CEO?
Hi there
Sorry to hear this and try not to be scared.;)
I would email them and say, they must hold details because how else would they have had the information in order to reject your complaint.
I would also ask if they will reconsider because even if it was signed/ticked for it was probably done automatically as you either assumed it was all part of the package, or because you were told you had to take it out as part of account or to be accepted for it.
(whatever applies to you above).
Dear Sir/Madam
Complaints Ref Account number XXXXXXXX
I note you have clarified that you hold no such details of my account.
However, if you no longer hold these details, please could you explain why you rejected my complaint?
I strongly believe the policy was worthless to me and as a valued customer - I am requesting you review my complaint.
I gave you my reasons, and I believe you have overlooked or not investigated my complaint properly.
Even if the policy was signed/ticked for, it obviously was not discussed with me at the time this was sold to you, because otherwise you would have known I would not be eligible to make a claim. What would be the point in me having Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) if it was not suitable for me.
As a bank, your staff had the responsibility to make sure when they sell these products to do so with interest of the customer.
I now believe the bank have failed me, and were not interested whether I would be eligible for the policy or not.
So I am again asking if you will review my case and take my reasons into account, and write to me within 14 days of this email/letter.
Yours sincerely
..........................................................................................
Something like the above, and anything else you need to add.
You need to be strong now, stand your ground.
If you hear nothing by 14 days, or if they do not change the decision, complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).
Good luck.

I took out a total of 7 loans ovver 10 years each time consolidating the one new one with the previous outstanding..
Loan provider LloydsTSB
Today i recieved a letter stating they will refund me all of the PPI plus 8% of it on top. My refunded fee is £5510. I still have £3720 owing which when paid off leaves me with £1790. I am debt free for the first time since i was 19... Life is good. I would have been happy with just the £3720 as the monthly repayments were £228. That's £228 a month for me that i haven't had for 7 years (more than 7 but lesser payments)
I'm getting married in 2012 and until today, money was a huge worry.

Hi
In my personal opinion, with the long delays of waiting for refunds, that will cause distress and yes I think they should, its not fair to keep a customer waiting for their own money, yet they are quick enough chasing customers in financial hardship..........I know because I was once there!
I do think they should pay out for stress.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
