Does anyone know if Tesco should be paying 8% interest up to todays date, and not only up until when PPI was cancelled, which our case was 2007.karenb7740 wrote: »They have given us 28 days. I did do a letter this morning which we were going to send recorded on Monday morning, but I have just had another thought as well while hoovering.
Do companies not have to pay the interest up to todays date, as they have only quoted interest at 8% up to when we requested the PPI to be removed, which was approx 2007. I understand that they would only pay the premiums up to that date, but I thought interest was to cover loss up to now.
I am possible totally wrong and in that case will send letter already done on Monday.
Thanks again for help.
Any help would be appreciated, as I would like to get a letter off to them tomorrow.

Excellent, great to hear - and congratulations :beer:My settlement from LTSB turned up today after waiting nearly two months after numerous phone calls and emails.
Settlement letter was dated 5th September and today my redress cheque of £1,778.38 arrived.
That will be last time I have any dealings with LTSB - they are an absolute disgrace.
Good luck to anybody whos's waiting - take comfort in the knowledge they do eventually pay out.0 -
thaks dizzy di ive tried that but it will only let me see direct debits for the last year.the years of the loans were 2004 and 20080

Still wait on a second claim which is in the calculation stage, again with the Halifax. They fairly keep you in the dark0 -
Hi can anyone help us, other half having a right nightmare with Santander, it's with regards to a burtons account, have had to send it to fsa but it looks like they're siding with santander, saying he could have cancelled at any time blah blah blah! Thing is, he said he did try to cancel several times but we all know when you ring and say that they try and fob you off with all sorts of stuff and in the end you feel that irritated it's just easier to keep it going! So now we don't know what to do! Please can someone help us?!! Thankyou xxx0
