My patience with Barclays have now gone, still messing me around.

First they tell me a letter has been sent with the figures, just come off the phone with them now they are saying a letter hasn't been sent.

They are saying I have to wait a further 2 weeks for a letter. Really getting on my nerves they seem like they haven't got a clue.

Really think its disgusting how they treat their customers. I will be closing all my accounts with them once everything is sorted.

Think might be time to write the CEO of Barclays. Does anyone have the address please?

    Stupid Halifax :(

After telling me 2 weeks ago that I should have received 2 letters from them - one in August and one in September - and me telling them I received nothing, and them promising to send another copy out, and me not receiving anything, I called them back today.

I told them I've received £48.99 (credit card PPI) but not the loans PPI and didn't get the letters I was promised. The man said he would send out another. I asked what the figures were. He put me on hold and said, the calculations had not yet been done!!!

I asked what the blooming acceptance letter they said they sent out was then fi there's no figure? He put me on hold again. Then came back and said, "oh, the letter was just saying that we don't need you to sign an acceptance letter anymore. We'll just send out the cheque"

You can't make it up :rotfl:

    Taken from Halifax website.
'At Halifax we are committed to making it as easy as possible to resolve your complaint. We’d like to discuss the details of your case with you directly so your concerns can be resolved as quickly as possible. You can call us on 08457 253 519 (lines open 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday), '

    What a load of nonsense!!
Firstly the 'resolve' only refers to the 16week period that they are have to answer your complaint. Once they acknowledge that they are indeed the wrong they sit doing nothing because they say there is no deadline in place to when they have to refund what they miss sold you.
Secondly when you contact the number provided so my 'concerns can be resolved as quickly as possible' the only response I seem to get from every person on the other end is ' err there is a backlog due to the high number of complaints'.
I just cannot understand that a bank of this size has not set up a timeframe which it has set its employees to work through this large volume of complaints in order to deal with this backlog. This would surely provide its customers with a timescale of when they are likely to recieve a refund. Instead of basically saying you will get it when you get it!!

    Rant over

Di or Amersall or anybody else who can help.

I spoke to the FOS this morning regarding my Central Trust case they told me they have received an offer from CT but they cannot tell me over the phone, I have to wait to hear in the post. Does an offer mean full ppi back or does it mean an offer. I took the case to the FOS in the first place because CT offered me a really low offer. Why are the FOS not allowed to tell you over the telephone? :(
Hi, i am not sure why they wont tell you over the phone :o:o it might be in case the offer is not what you want to hear :Dand you give them a gobfull :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Seriously,an offer is an offer,it could be that they are giving you the same amount as they said before,or they could have increased this.
It could even be full redress :T
You will just have to wait i am afraid:(:(
Although with FP, you should be getting good at waiting by now :rotfl:
