Hi - I have already put the post below into the general forum but as it was, i suppose, a success I thought id best put it here too. Can anybody help with my queries? It would be much appreciated. Regards. Lee

    Hi all,
I hope you are all well.
Been on this website for a while but never really had anything to contribute. Thanks to Martin and everybody on this site as it has been a great help in me making my PPi claims.

I am after a bit of advice on my claims if anyone can help.

Ive had two claims to MBNA upheld and they are broken down as follows:

    1st Claim
Total amount of PPI premiums charged since sale date: £267.69
Total amount of interest assocaited with the PPI premiums £45.73
Total amount of 8% interest £154.53
    Total repay £467.95

    2nd Claim
Total amount of PPI premiums charged since sale date: £157.21
Total amount of interest assocaited with the PPI premiums £514.85
Total amount of 8% interest £18.72
    Total repay £690.78

Can anyone tell if these are correct? The thing thats sticking out like a saw thumb is the amount of interest associated with the PPi premiums. I gave highlighted these in red.

Does anyone know why these would be massively different?

Any help would be most appreciated.

    Regards
    Lee
Bumping this :D can anyone help please x.

Hi can anyone help us, other half having a right nightmare with Santander, it's with regards to a burtons account, have had to send it to fsa but it looks like they're siding with santander, saying he could have cancelled at any time blah blah blah! Thing is, he said he did try to cancel several times but we all know when you ring and say that they try and fob you off with all sorts of stuff and in the end you feel that irritated it's just easier to keep it going! So now we don't know what to do! Please can someone help us?!! Thankyou xxx
Hi there, just keep at them, your hubby tried to cancel more than once, keep going down that route.
Sorry i could not be more help :o

Hi, i am not sure why they wont tell you over the phone :o:o it might be in case the offer is not what you want to hear :Dand you give them a gobfull :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Seriously,an offer is an offer,it could be that they are giving you the same amount as they said before,or they could have increased this.
It could even be full redress :T
You will just have to wait i am afraid:(:(
Although with FP, you should be getting good at waiting by now :rotfl:

HaHa :rotfl:, thanks Amersall, I will post up when the letter arrives.

I would just like to thank MSE, if it hadn't been for the publicity and the easy to use template on the site I wouldn't be so much richer. After just one letter using the template on this site and a wait of about 10 weeks today I received a cheque from the Halifax for just over £5,000, which equates to all of our premiums plus interest on that money at 8%. In 2001 my husband and I took out illness and unemployment PPI cover on our mortgage six months later we took out an additional £20k on our mortgage to pay for some alterations to our house. We adjusted the PPI accordingly and unfortunatley 2 months after that my husband lost his job through redundancy, they refused to pay out as they couldnt decided if we was a new or existing customer, he stopped paying his premium I continued for a further 5 years and after the premium doubled in that time I decided it was like throwing good money after bad so stopped paying. I never felt as though the Halifax dealt with our enquiry properly neither were the exclusions explained properly, So thanks once again:T
  • Nutty Nat - When is the exact date for the 8 weeks then as you never know you could have a wonderful surprise and it could turn up by then.

Spaniellover - hello. Oh I do hope your cheque is posted within time too. Keep us posted.

My 8 weeks is 14 Dec but if they are saying they are 2 weeks behind then I will be waiting til 28 Dec and then there is the xmas post delay!!! Grr... I suppose I dont mind having to wait (a little) as long as the payment does come eventually!
