I am still awaiting £4300(ppi amount on current loan) but was told this had been sent to loan centre so they can restructure the loan and then they would pay that amount into my bank account by the end of this week.Checked with loan centre today but nothing has happened yet!!
Have told them all I want is to clear loan....they can even do it and just send me the balance....even that seems too hard for them to do.:mad:0 -

I only have 11 months left on mine, with one payment due tomorrow!!
I want to clear mine but cant get settlement figure till this is all sorted. They would not clear the balance themselves, they just work out your new repayments, the rest is up to you. Hope you get it sorted soon.0 -

Today I received a £2648.58 PPI refund from Santander! This was from a £10,000 loan I had started 4 years ago! I followed the instructions on this site, printed the financial ombudsmans questionnaire from the site and sent a very basic letter stating that I wished to complain, reasons why in brief and the filled out questionnaire. I sent this letter mid September and the bank replied on the 3rd of October with a refund offer letter with the full balance and interest on the PPI they had misold me!
just wanted to say an enormous thank you for your advice! One simple letter literally the price of a stamp and there's my money back!! Thank you again! To anyone who is reading this and wondering should I bother trying this? Or is it worth having a go?! It really is! Can't tell you how happy I am! Thank you0 -
After visiting the moneysavingexpert.com website sometime in April 2011, I noticed a lot of people were making PPI claims with a lot of sucess. During this time I 'Dilly Dallied' in making a claim although it was a no brainer to do it.
My push came when I received good news from my partner that I am going to be a father in 2012:). That gave me a much needed push to put through PPI claims on 2 out of the 3 loans which I had taken out. These were with HFC bank and also Blackhorse Finance (notice that im 'dilly dallying' on the final PPI claim but I will pull my finger out to complete)
I am pleased to say that after submitting an appeal in mid August for HFC Bank, I received a response today with my claim being upheld and in turn sent an acceptance offer of £1617.05!!
For anyone who who has posted up their successes or failures in making a PPI Claim, I would like to say thank you!!
I will keep you informed as to when Blackhorse Finance get back to me (I will complete the final one next week. lol)
:laugh::laugh::D:DNew baby on the way :j:j and cash in the bank :T:T
Brilliant:)

• What were you reclaiming: Four loans (each consolidating the previous)
• Who was the provider: NatWest
• How much did you get back: £7,109.34
• Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Did not go to the ombudsman, but I had to pursue the bank with the mechanical tenacity of a terminator!
• And then write your brief reclaim tale: I submitted my complaint in April, requesting a refund of the PPI from a loan I had with them. The bank dragged their heels –I have about three holding letters- but they eventually confirmed this refund, plus four more from my previous history with the bank. They made a refund offer in August, and [STRIKE]promised[/STRIKE] endeavoured to pay me within 28 days. It took 46 days, several phone calls and an email to Stephen Hester but eventually they coughed up.
On a side note, I have previously received just over £3k in a bank charges refund from them, meaning that I have now been refunded over ten thousand pounds from RBS Group.
They had the money from me first…0 -
What were you reclaiming: 2 loans going back to 2007
Who was the provider: LloydsTSB
How much did you get back: The letter says they will pay £7293
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Completed the form from your site
I was reluctant at first but when i came upon your site i thought, why not? The templates were easy to use. I wrote to the bank in early July, received an acknowledgement letter a week later and a follow up phone call in early October. Yesterday i received a letter agreeing to pay £7293 as soon as possible. They're not asking me to sign anything, just to do nothing if I am in agreement. I'll let you know how it pans out.
You lose nothing but a couple of hours. You don't even need too much detail to make the request. On my second loan i simply wrote to them with the reference number, requesting the file.0 -
Hi there, what were the reasons they didnt uphold and have they said this is the final response?.
If it wasnt the final response, then you need to get back to them and ask them to look at this again,as you were mis sold this ppi.
If it was the final response you will have to take this to FOS and just to warn you,you may have to wait for up to 2 years,it could be sooner, but you should be aware.0
