  • I have been reading this forum for a couple of weeks now as I also had an offer from RBS on 9th September for £8000 and not received any pay out yet, although my 28 days are not up until next week. It would be good to know if anybody has actually received payment from RBS on time or even before.

There have been a few people who have said in the past day or so that they seem to be running a week or two behind. Just keep biting your lip and keep tabs on the time, and it'll be past before you know it.
My acceptance letters only just went in on Monday so i've got the long wait and hopefully they'll have caught up by then:D

    Hi forum

Received a letter today from Capital One upholding my complaint and offering a settlement of £5,835.90 - result!

On the downside, spoke to Barclaycard regarding a Morgan Stanley card and after claiming they sent me a letter on the 21st September (never received) they informed me that my complaint has been declined on the grounds that I ticked the box relating to PPI and therefore agreed to having it on the card.

Can anybody advise on my next step (is it time to approach FOS?) as I recall other posters being declined for this reason.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

  • Hello,

I hope someone can advise, me and my wife sometime back was contacted by a company who said they could sort out ppi's we had. They had information from us and after sometime we tried to contact them to see how things were going, the number they had given us was unobtainable all the time throughout hours of the day and could not contact them. We contacted the bank themselves and they stated they had received our claim, after making all the calls ourselves and progressing the claim we finally was given an offer which we accepted, but still awaiting funds, in the meantime we have just had a phone call from the company we was using stating that they had sent a letter to us concerning the offer and stating they want from us an amount roughly in the region of 37% of the offer. I would be grateful if someone could advise on where we stand with this considering the amount of phone calls and time and effort we have put in ourselves?
