  • Hi All, new to this. I received an offer of £3630.73 from Black Horse which i accepted, i sent the acceptance form back right away. This was on the 30th of August. Anyone know how long roughly they are taking to make payments?

    Regards

    Hi Moody,

Do you know what you're monthly ppi payments were, I worked it out from your figures at about £47 per month.
Also did you pay the loan off in full? Or did you refinance it with another loan.

Let me know and I'll see if we can help, others may be able to help too.:D
Thanks to all the competition posters.

They date from 1999 to 2005. They sort of explained about the breakdown on the phone but I did not really understand what they meant. Thanks for you comments:rotfl:
hi lynch, as Di said depending on if each of these loans refinanced one another you could be due more. How much were the loans for or how much ppi was on each one.

I was the same with RBS, 7 loans over a period of about 6 years, all refinanced by each other, each one got bigger, and each one got a brand new ppi policy. I've got about a week to wait for my decision now, and i'm hoping for a decent payout my ppi amounted over the 7 loans to about £5k, and thats not including any interest to get back at the 8%.

Well, just got to report my success on this one!
After having complained sometime in June and then advised on 18th August that my complaint had been upheld I waited patiently for the 6 weeks they requested to undertake calculations ... nothing came and a phone call on Friday indicated not gone for calculations yet and no idea whatsoever when that may be,,,

Found out the CEO's email address from this forum and sent an eMail yesterday just saying how I considered 6 weeks was time enough for them to calculate or at least to update me on the further delay etc etc

Got an eMail this morning at 11.20am and money was in my account by close of play today!!!!!

It is so worth the eMail if you, like me, are bored with the lack of post falling on the mat bearing good news.

It was only for 8 months of ppi on a loan paid in 2006 @ £33 but with the interest on top got £848 :rotfl:£7 less than my calculations but I'm happy

Credit to Mr Doherty for getting this sorted so quickly (in the end!!)

Just waiting on Halifax now .........
  • Hi smitchy

That's as much information as I have...

I asked Santander to take a look at my previous loans as part of a CC mis-selling complaint.

I did re-finance the original loan after 56 payments, but didn't take out PPI on the second loan.

I've done the same as you and divided the premiums figure by 56, giving £47.04 per month, but no matter how I calculate the interest payments, I can't arrive near the settlement figures that I've been given.

Do I need a full breakdown in order to be sure, or can I state that they're definitely wrong based on what I have so far?

    Thanks for your help

    Hi Moody,

I've looked again and I used a spreadsheet I found somewhere on the tinternet, taking the £47.04 as your ppi + interest for that part of your monthly payment, I've worked out that you should be due back approx £903 on top of your ppi payments which only brings it to 3537.24 so it looks like your offer might be okay, thats without knowing all the ins and outs and figures and % rates I'd say it looks okay.

    Congratulations on your win moody.:D

Meant to add you can use the bank charges calculator to work out your 8% statutory interest you should be getting back( I just didn't have time to put in the 56 seperate entries on it)

Step 2 in the bank charges reclaim bit here

    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/bank-charges

This is the bit to open up.

    Q. Can I charge interest on my bank charges? (inc. bank charges calculator)

    :D:D
